Of course he would welcome a tie in. Yes, AFL is king of kings and he will of course sponsor the AFL boys first, but if he is on the ball, he won't rule out some form of tie in with QRL .......and we really can't afford to be too picky can we.
If we offered a prize 1 box a fortnight, with raffle tickets being sold all week long behind the bar and revenues being split between the club and a charity of SheBu's choice, we should raise at least a bit of interest, which is more than we did last year. Unless of course we have gone from 1 box sold last season to all boxes sold out this season

Generally speaking I agree with you about the club's marketing and promotional activities, but having had first hand dealings with the manager I think this is a one off thing for him. I seriously don't think he'd be interested in any kind of ongoing association with the club. I think his interest in this event is mainly because of the situation surrounding Sonny Fai and the opportunity to market the Sea Eagles to his customers.

What a ridiculous attitude if true. Would love to see what his senior managers thought of this.

AFL fans usually do have their head stuck up their ass and beleive the BS that their front office delivers.

The look of horror on a victorian/south aussie/west aussie when you tell them you dont have an AFL team that you support is pricesless.
