I approached the club about marketing, posters and leaflets to hand out at the Wakefield game (last home game) and was told nothing is being done for this game. Paul did agree that going forward posters and leaflets would be produced and available for every home game to distribute at the home game prior to the next home game. Posters to be handed out at the the volunteers table so anyone and everyone who can get one into the local pub /cinema or window can take one away with them. Leaflets will be available advertising the entertainment. Paul agreed we must keep the momentum going whether a large or small crowd expected. We cannot do one thing one game and nothing the next. We need continuity and I think Paul has recognised this. However watch this space....................

I find it odd really. Regardless of who we are playing (and let's face it, a win is better for a newbie than a tonking), the club need to promote every game. Even if there is no budget at all......why not utilise the volunteers/fans with leaflets, posters etc? To do nothing is just stupid...and I don't mean stupid like a silly mistake, but really stupid, like using a hair dryer whilst still in the bath stupid

I was under the impression that those that used freeby tickets at the wakefield game were going to be offered half price tickets for the next two games, anyone know if this materialised?

As did I. At the present time the two people who got my freebie tickets to the Wakefield game have not received any invite to take up the offer of cheaper tickets for the Celtic Crusaders match. Obviously there is still time for them to receive something.

Come on PB, how long does it take to e-mail the newbies? I am sure if it just data entry a few on here would volunteer. How long would it take to produce a leaflet? A flyer in the cafe at Twickers tube would get noticed and cost nowt.

It is not cost but ideas that seem to be lacking, we have a great product sadly under promoted. Why not get Vince Cable to do an interview saying how good the team are, the press hang on his every word. NB he watches the team on a regular basis. There is an election on so he would probably bite your hand off.

Keep the faith, and pull your fingers out back room staff.

Have the club sent any marketing materials to ST holders for this game?
I fear we may see another sub 3,000 crowd for this game and would be quite happy if the club just gave every school kid in the borough a ticket for this game...........
The Cottage Burners won't be bringing many and it is a game we should win (always good when there are newbies in the crowd), the weather should be better (summer rugby my butt) so why not run a 2-4-1 offer in TNT, fill the north stand with freebies, re-issue the Season Ticket Holders two mates for free offer...etc...etc....etc.......
Even if we lose to Saints on Friday, we will still be 5th in the table and now is the time to shout about it. If we win we will be 3rd
If we are going to tap into the RU database, then ask them to come to the Welsh game for £5.......they had a good season and will still be hungry for a bit of Saturday afternoon entertainment. Why not move it to a 5pm kick off and get the Union lot to come early, watch the Lions v Cheetahs in the Kings bar before?
Why not give London Welsh a call and invite their members down for the day for £5?.....
3 weeks until this game....plenty of time to get something organised.

Would be great if the club gave him an official invitation and maybe had him out on the pitch etc?
