Is it just me or is Williamson looking like a poor piece of business? Woeful today. At fault for a lot of the penalties, some silly decisions when on the ball and not great in defence.

Don't understand why Golden was subbed on about the 30 minute mark and never re-appeared, when 'Cougar' played the full 80.

Chad, superb as always, as was Clubby and LMS.

Also why didn't Gale appear for the second half? Didn't see him pick up an injury....

Also....Howell is very underrated.

Is that generally acceptable now? If a player flies out of the line in the centres, they can flatten their opposite number even if the ball is on the other side of the pitch?

Its obviously not ok for players to be taken out at any time by anyone but the answer to your original question stands the VR Phil Bentham in this matter would surely not give a try unless he genuinely thought it was a try.

Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

Two things to factor in for yesterday:
(1) We beat them at Headingley, so they were really up for this game.
(2) If we'd beaten them by 16+ we'd have taken their place as second in the table, which they seem to be content to maintain until the play-offs. I'm with the contributor to another thread who reckons Leeds are in cruise control until the end of the regular season and are just doing enough to keep their present position.

Leeds were very good once they got into gear (from about midway through the first half onwards) but we remained competitive until just before half time. Conceding fourteen points in the space of about five minutes either side of the break, thanks to some schoolboy errors, killed us off. Leeds didn't take their foot off our throat after that and we were made to look rather naive and pedestrian; our defnce repeatedly punctured by quick incisive attacks. Leeds looked mentally one step ahead as well as physically quicker and apart from the one second half try we barely threatened their line after that.

BMc wrote in his programme column that the only way to react to a heavy defeat is hard graft - it's never an option to go easy in training or a day off. I reckon our team are in for their most intensive week of the season and hopefully we'll bounce back with a win at Belle Vue next weekend, because we haven't lost consecutive league games so far this year.

Who flattened him? When was this? Must be in the build up to a Leeds try?

Leuluai flattened Randall. Why does it have to be in the build up to a try? Its taking a player out off the ball - nothing to do with obstruction, its still a penalty.

Randall was terrible

And you thought Clubb had a good game?! Some Leeds supporters I was talking to didn't even realise he was on the pitch.

And you are slagging off Williamson? Honestly did I watch a different game? He probably has more tackles and hit ups than the huge majority of the team.

randall mis read the play and moved across to tackle the wrong man. he moved towards the leeds dummy runner. a poor play on his behalf

Disagree. I still think at the end of the day he was taken out off the ball by a "dummy runner" who was nowhere near the play. So now its OK to take people out if they are dummy runners and the defender makes the mistake of being in the way? Disgusting decision IMO, at least it had no bearing on the game though.

I thought Williamson was possibly our best performer on the day. He's a tough, unflashy forward who helps provide the platform for creative players to shine and doesn't give much away. He's a very much team player who does the hard yards, not someone who's going to do inspirational solo stuff, and I'm not sure he could have been expected to do much more within a generally mediocre team performance against strong opposition playing near their peak.
