Probably would as it is based upon where a player was trained rather than on the grounds of nationality. Also i believe it has been agreed by ALL clubs.

You can not deny someone the right to work if they have a valid work permit and have the required skills, putting artificial barriers in the way are no different to making a decision based on where they were born.

The only law to preventing people working on the grounds of nationality is a european one which states anyone who has an EU passport is free to work anywhere in the EU without the need for a work permit.

The new quota rules are not based on nationality therfore do not breach that law. Anyone or club who wish to chalange that in a court of law cannot have the interests of rugby league in this country at heart

At least we had decent youngsters in the first place.

As BG says if an individual challenged this through the courts it would be unlikely to stand up. I was wondering if this might transpire with Rinaldi but it didn't.
