Good game around, agree Menzies best Catalan, but tower was equally as good - his kick
K from touch line was superb and in every aspect he just oozed class.
Randall did play well, but I am a fan. Howells was sharp when he came on.everyone did their bit and the encouraging thing was we looked organised.
Downside - we looked small and they scored two tries just by sheer muscle. Changing missed two tackles, he their wise played well don't mean to be critical but they scored from both
Upside - better organised and defended well, moved the ball wide and looked like we had a plan, Dixon kicking to touch was very good.
Bizarre - referee. He penalised London 7 times in first 10. He also gave 6penalties for failing to play the ball - 3 for each side, but Catalans all game towards end of game and Catalan fans got frustrated.
Decent game - tantrums and punch ups at en very stupid - ali in all good run out
yes, Menzies was good at right centre but I thought Webb was outstanding (it's all matter of opinion mate)
I felt all the players looked ok though Cardace & Pala for me are not up to the SL mark - hopefully Blanch will be fit for Craven Park
re the reffing - Tim Roby was quite correct in his decisions taking into acount the new PTB rule where the foot must make contact with the ball (actually it was 4 - 3 on the count) post match I asked both coaches about this and they were unanimous in stating that the players have been told of the more strict ruling and it's their fault if they get penalised - the players need to learn !
the other ruling brought back from the past aka the advantage rule was annoying - please ditch it asap !
