Where would a phoenix club play? That's the first question you have to answer - no ground, no club and the Stoop wouldn't be possible on financial grounds.

Hopefully Skolars will get promoted this year to the championship, and we can all get behind them to represent London Rugby League going forward.

Super League has put a very high cost of entry to any sponsors or donors, David Hughes offer to share the Broncos with anyone individual/company wanting a share of the £2M/year losses can't have been that attractive. Being a major Board member for £100,000 a year or less (about the price of the cheapest box at Arsenal) may actually give a club a more balanced and stable set of rich donors.

Once the Broncos cease to exist i dont expect to see another SL club in London in my lifetime again. Good luck to the Skolars but where will a financial backer come from to do it. Up North there are people who grew up on RL in their town/city and have stepped in as investors like Lenegan in later life when they have made their money. That is very unlikely to happen down here. DH himself came from Swinton. Lenegan was the best chance we had but his loyalties to his hometown club in Wigan were much stronger than to his 'adopted' club down South. A defining moment in our club's future IMO.
