I was at the eastern edge of the east stand and didn't see the trouble. What I did experience from the sub humans supporting "classy Cas" was a constant stream of f@cks c@nts and b@stards directed at London and castleford players and match officials in the presence of four and five year old children. As a northerner it is massively embarrassing.

"I'm sorry, but I would hope that we would beat Cas with a 1 day turnaround."

An arrogant Wigan fan a few days before we stuffed them 18-4 at the JJB.

Re: Trouble in East Stand : Mon Jun 03, 2013 11:13 pm
Was sat at the other side of the stand so missed the "trouble" (e/g nothing to side here move along now). But, why wear a Rhinos shirt and sit with the Cas fans, you blatantly did it, to wind people up & get a reaction yeah? I'd fully expect a similar reaction from Wakefield fans if I wore a Cas shirt and sat with them to cheer on London or something like that. I'm not saying that that reaction is right, but it's par for the course. It's cool to tarnish us all with the tag of Scum of rugby league. Got to admit, I noticed dave / (whoever your real name is) in a Leeds shirt as I walked out of the bar, I just looked the other way & ignored, it is a pity other Cas fans couldn't do that. In the end, I find it hilarious the stewards wanted rid of you

Lister often wears his Leeds shirt to our games, this wasn't a one off thing.

Banter does not equal abuse. One of the key things League has over soccer is that in general, fans are pretty well behaved and can take a decent ribbing.

I never used the word banter. If i put myself in that position, i'd expect abuse, again not saying its right. But imo, he wanted to p1ss some Cas fans off and get a reaction. He's made his voice clear of all things cas in the past. Part of me sympathises with him, part of me pittys him. Wears rugby shirts of other teams, calls himself false names, odd character. Real name Norman Bates?

The wearing of a shirt should not result in abuse.....ever!

I stood behind the goal at Wakefield last season in a Broncos shirt and had nothing but good banter with those around me. Mind you getting belted probably helped!

You can try and blame me all you want. Its usually good fun (for instance before the game there was plenty of 'banter' with Cas fans in the Spoons) and as tim has posted, I nearly always wear a Leeds shirt and always sit in the East Stand amongst away supporters.

When all you do is sit down in your usual place, to witness some Castleford supporter, clamber over, frothing at the mouth, and ask 'why don't you do yourself a favour and **** off you ****', you know its going to be a long afternoon.

Castleford has always been one of my favourite aways (not sure where that poster who seems to think I have a problem with Cas got that idea from, its hating all things Hull I apparently have a fixation on) but I won't be spending a penny at a club followed by such lowlife in future.

Fortunately, I was happy that the security personel confirmed to me that I had done absolutely nothing wrong and they laughed in the face of pathetic Cas fans who were complaining that I was winding them up (those bleating failed to spot the security stood behind them for the entire first half witnessing the one way shower of abuse towards me, sat down, doing nothing). They also confirmed that if there was more of them they would have turfed many more of their supporters for their disgraceful behaviour and persistent standing.

Just buying my ticket for Leeds Cas where I plan on to the Western Terrace with my 'I 8 Cas' London Broncos shirt and obviously getting to them again.

Rugby League, the family game where opposition fans sit side by side and enjoy friendly banter.

Cracking afternoon, shame we only went away with a point.
