I have emailed the club asking who it was who gave their full support to the choice of venue.

I sent this 8 days via the contact page of the website.
Why has the club agreed to play the CC semi-final at Wigan?

Utterly ridiculous. Why don't the club stand up for its supporters and players?

Shameful from both the RFL and from the Broncos by going along with this.

No reply yet received. :(

EDIT: Yes, I have changed my tune a bit since sending the above, realising now that the whole thing was an RFL stitch-up. However, I still think that, as a long-standing ST holder, I'm entitled to a reply.

I did get a reply, albeit an unsatisfactory one, from the RFL.

Today many of the RL journos are all worked up that BBC Radio 4 stated, the next major sports event is The Commonwealth Games next year! Do we expect anything different with Red Hall and Nigel?

The staging of The Championship Finals played at Halifax, was that a back hander for Nigel's old club, what did he do for them? 4,200! was disgusting, when Blackpool in previous years attracted 8K & 9K, people made a weekend of the day for them.

The list of errors being made with the game, just go on and on, and there is nothing being done! Club's seem to be happy to allow it to happen, but then clubs he is close to will protect him and his second in command Ralph.

BroncOnion you got more than I did from the RFL! I presume it was just destroyed, they do not like Truth!

The club know the fans have nothing better to spend their hard earned cash on than to go to Widnes one week and Leigh the next. Or it could be that as there are expenses paid trips for certain members of staff it's not a problem to them.

Not sure if there's any truth to the rumour that Gus was looking at buying a new house in Gillingham but he was gazumped? Just trying to figure out why he went cold on Gillingham Broncos given he doesn't care about the fans....

They should have done the same with The Championship Finals! 4,200 at Halifax, when Blackpool produced 8K & 9K, the RFL CEO is taking the game backwards, total incompetency!

We hear Championship Clubs have agreed in meeting with Woods, they back his idea, not sure the Bribe to increase their handout annually to £200,000 from it's current pittance, the clubs were conned! only Sheffield Eagles had the guts to Vote No! knowing it is not best long term!

Well the fact is that Blackpool FC wanted £50k to stage the NRC Final. Had it been played there I think the crowd would have been better'certainly from the club I support.

On balance playing at Fax was the right decision.

Most Leigh fans who attend on Saturday will support guess who ?

Completely right, it shows potential major financial sponsors or investors, what a dyeing sport it is!

I wait with patience for the announcement Saturday afternoon for the attendance, also some of the World Cup attendances, with the lack of any serious marketing.

Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

Under freedom of information, I have request the RFL confirm how many new ground this year, they looked/inspected and deem fit for RL or super league or challenge cup, other than world cup venues etc, they even lie to the RL parliamentary committee about expansion of the game, SMOKE AND MIRRIOR MERCHANTS, THEY SHOULD BE DIPOSED

I do hope the parliamentary cttee go to town if we actually by some accident get to the final, playing it at Wembley would benefit the London team and who ever gets the other spot would have to travel, Idemand if we get there they move the final to a point midway between!
