Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

Our players don't move, they stand around watching the opposition walk round them.

If we're talking rumours. Here's one.

London have been talking to people in Australia to recruit them.

What, I wonder, can we offer to tempt them? Perhaps they're all playing in the Illawarra local comp and have been hand-selected for us by a former player?

Do you know if the "people" include any coaches?

Lee was rumoured to be interesting Salford (He'd be my player of the year so I can see why).

Tommy Lee? Seriously?
He's far from being the worst but player of the year? Suppose they're aren't too many other candidates come to think of it!

Steve Magee, must be the top metre maker in the club the amount of times he has had to run on with the kicking tee.

I can only think of him, Dixon & Bailey who'd be contenders. And I'd plump for Lee.

I think Fisher has played well. He is one of the few players who seem to understand the purpose of the game!

So how many players are currently contracted for next year? Assuming the following is correct - Clubb, Dixon, Wheeldon, Lee, Kaufusi, Krasniqi, Robertson, Rodney, Witt and Grady. Two of those want out by the looks of it.

As mentioned by DSWG on another thread, Lee is rumoured to be going to Saints next year.
Clubb, who gives a toss...get rid.
Dixon is the only one I would keep from the list.....the thought of having that bunch of losers go round one more time is totally depressing and will ensure our relegation. Hopefully this list has got nothing to do with the `8 signings` that WQ was referring to.

If RB says we are looking then it must be true. However when you sign up a player in Oz you can't keep it under wraps as the player will tell his family and it all comes out over here. The fact that we are hearing nothing confirms what a lot of us already know which is that attracting decent overseas players now is very difficult even for the big british clubs let alone us basement dwellers living in the most expensive area in the UK. I think we will be lucky to sign any decent players from there and god knows what we can get from Up North. They are losing players returning Down Under so will have to recruit leser quality brits who before they wouldnt look at (Sargy and Clubb?) so god knows what the left overs will be?

Re: Player movement thread : Tue Jul 30, 2013 1:38 pm
I think when we signed Soward, TR was asked how did it happen and I think (not 100% sure) that at the time TR said he was chatting to some people in Aus about other matters when Sowards name was put to him though someone else he was talking to at the time. Now i'm not saying he was talking to agents of players or players in Aus.
But going on what RB claims then I just add some more fuel to the rumour ( ) and put 2+2 together and make 100

But will add as we don't know whats going on or if going to have a ground let alone a club. One thing is know about TR is he does have a few contacts down under. And i'm just hoping if do have a club next year he can unearth some gems like he has done in the past.

Also hope he can get hold of an attacking coach for next year that's for sure. or someone to teach the youngest in HB play............(Sean Long anyone  )
