He was a good centre that's become a good forward.

Sorry, but this is where our fundamental disagreement lies, he was never a good centre. He was signed as a second row, and when he played at centre looked exactly what he was, a second row playing centre. He was solid going forward, but his lack of mobility (compared to a true centre) meant he was caught out positionally in defence.

He played centre for England and scored 4 tries in once game FFS.
