But if you were in any doubt as to how inept the management is at London, you only have to look at the fact that you heard news from the Hull FC owner, while we, the long suffering fans have been told precisely nowt by the Broncos.

Be seeing you.
Of course the Broncos should communicate more with their supporters. I'd like to see at least a weekly "heartbeat" message on the website. But what news do you expect to hear from them while the negotiations continue? What we have from Hull's owner is his opinion, no doubt based on much more information than we suckers have, but still only his opinion, not news.

In terms of money being thrown on lost causes, I'm with The Economist

I love the way you start your post with the phrase 'in realistic terms' to make yourself sound intelligent (!) and then proceed to talk utter rubbish.

Easehullairliebird. I understand your views regarding the Broncos and how it must appear to people outside looking in. However, please consider the wider picture about Southern rugby league. In particular, take a look at the results below when Brentwood Eels took on both East and West Hull at the under 12s competition at the Leeds Rhinos Challenge last May:

Brentwood 8 v 8 West Hull
Brentwood 16 v 8 Easy Hull

West Hull won the under 12s contest, only dropping points to Brentwood. Brentwood Eels came third.

Sothern rugby league is alive and kicking! (Apart from the Broncos)

I don't see how people call this person a troll, it is just what has been said on here over and over again but this is a troll because it has been said by a Hull FC fan.

1. "You don't offer anything to Super League".
Over the last five years Broncos have finished 13th, 12th, 12th, 13th and 11th. Even this season's 13th position could be argued as being false due to Salford's points deduction. An average final position of 12th would indicate that the club have offered very little. 36 wins from 135 games in the past five years is also a massive indicator that the club has done very little.

2. "You have no fans".
That's true, no need for figures. We all know that the crowds have been terrible. However, there is underlying reasons, both the product on the pitch and the lack of marketing.

3. "I think you'll be whipping boys next season".
At present, it is hard to argue this. As we know, the season is still four months away and a lot can change in that period but I cannot see anyone being able to put together a side capable of competing in Super League.

4. "You'll get relegated".
As with point 3, I cannot see a squad being assembled that will be competitive and if there is relegation next season, I can see one place being sewn up by the Broncos.

I don't like to make these points and I want to see a successful London in Super League but I simply cannot see it happening and it is a worry for London and the South as a whole. With Hemel and my club, Skolars, picking up a number of players on dual-reg and picking up released players, a lack of a London Super League club will have a detrimental effect on both sides.

Indeed, the major inaccuracy from easthullairliebird was that the RFL have thrown money at us.

A bit harsh.

They had some good crowds when they started at Fulham all those years ago, so there should be no reason why they could not get good crowds again with a good side and the proper location, and not in a rah rah area.
