But seriously, what do you do? Marketing? Did you work for the broncos at some point? As a latecomer to the party, I'd like to know. You seem to have the lowdown on what is happening. And when not gus bashing make some good points, (ill wait for the cowboy to make a comment along the lines of, gas needs bashing)
This is correct, whilst you have at least the advantage of 80, or possibly 160 minutes of observations to grant you the higher ground. My "predictions" are based on the commentary and stats from our opening 2 games, the highlights reels from the seasons openers away and at home and from a personal assessment of how the Bulls squad are looking at present. The Loss to Castleford isn't looking too terrible and they won the first of their important games in the "mini-relegation-league" featuring London, Wakey, Bradford and Widnes.
You do not have to "be there" to be a fan and neither do you have to have a permanent optimistic grin stuck to your face to support this team. Because I have 0% faith in the new set up, especially when the villains from the past are still involved, you think that I have no idea of what is going on "on the park"? How very strange?
I suspect that London may well score first, giving a jittery Bulls a scare and making the small crowd get on the backs of the players......it's just that I think the Bulls will have a tad too much experience for our young squad and will pull away to win by 2 scores.
Rather than attempt (and fail) to ridicule my opinion, why not proffer your own. You do after all have "the advantage" on me!
Your 'predictions' are about on par with telling me what my best memories should and shouldn't be, as you were attempting to do on the VT. You have absolutely nothing to base these opinions on since you made this prediction before even seeing the team play. To add to this, you were thousands of miles away from The Hive on Saturday - take note of all those who had such a positive experience rather than making up nonsense about posters on this forum being happy with the low attendance and denouncing the whole thing yourself. Utterly pathetic.
I think we will lose by 30+ points against Bradford. The team/squad isn't ready and I do not believe we will be fully competitive in any fixture for a month at least.
I do not expect miracles - I am quite content with what is being attempted at present. I cannot do anything about it but I am delighted to be supporting a newly established side who have pride in the shirt. Having not been to a game last year, you really cannot comprehend the difference felt on Saturday, as has been noted by many posters on here. You can still support the club of course, but telling people how they should be feeling after their experience on Saturday when you weren't there yourself is embarrassing.

was watching an nfl doco. on one of their teams and they used the term bomb to describe those long high passes from quaterback to running back and i think gibson took that idea, realized you cant throw the ball forward in RL and adapted it to a "bomb" kick we have

You were the one that said the 18-44 hammering at The Hive was the best day in memory....note, you didn't say recent memory, but just memory! I remember many days at the Stoop where you seemed pretty damned happy!

I have addressed this in my earlier reply.....

In the context of your claim that I have nothing to base my predictions on, this is an irrelevant piece of window dressing that has no part in this conversation. For the record, the only thing that is utterly pathetic is the 1,246 attendance and those trying to justify it with tales of smiling bar staff.

Good for you. That's the answer I was looking for. BTW, the season as a competitive entity and avoiding relegation is done and dusted by April 1st if we are sitting on nil points.

This sums it up perfectly...well done you
Those who attended the Salford game were both relieved and happy because it was better than last year, both in the venue and the attitude of the players who never gave up......CONVIENEINTLY FORGETTING THE EVENTS THAT LED TO LAST YEAR BEING SO loving TERRIBLE AND THAT FACT THAT THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM ARE STILL IN ATTENDANCE.
BTW, I didn't tell anyone how they should feel I simply commented that in my opinion, being content with a 1,246 attendance shows how far the villains of the piece have dragged down our expectations.
at the risk of endlessly repeating myself, what is the point of your posts other to say - the squad is c***' the oner, CEO and in fact everything about the club is crap? finally us poor delusional "fans" are c***. but what is your point? none of us should go? let the club fold and dance on the grave just to get back at DH/Gus?
Please tell me - because every post is exactly the same and I really don't get it!
And just to remind you - I agree with 99.9% of what you have posted about marketing /Gus

Re-read this thread from the start. I posted it because it is relevant to The forthcoming game at Odsal and I even dealt with an initial attempt to belittle my right to make a score prediction before the same poster then dragged a debate from another thread into this one. I have also started threads regarding the next 2 home games, as these are vital to the survival of the club in any form from Feb 2015 onwards.....no doubt, these too will drift, like the Salford one.....which got as far as page 9 before people started saying that the ground made our small crowds look better......sorry, but that us like a red rag to a bull. Accepting 1,246 and saying "it seemed bigger because the stadium is the size of a match box" is insanity....to which, the apologetic brigade all jumped on board and I defend my point of view.
It's not a question of repeating the woes of the club over and over again, but when faced with inane posts about the number of Barnet fans at the game, I feel it is valid to compare this with the first games back at the stoop or at Griffin Park...I then get attacked for being negative, when in reality, it is the FACTS that are negative. 1,246 is a disgrace, but as there are no consequences for failure at the club, them having being totally removed from anyone in the recent move, nobody really cares. They should, but they don't.
I fail to see why I need to change my style or content of posts? A forum moderator felt the need to post that they had been inundated with requests from other posters to ban me, but themselves haven't even issued me with a warning? Why is that? Could it be that I haven't broken the rules? Another poster has gone on record as to saying that my negativity is going to cause Hughes to walk and the Hive experiment to fail, before whining like a bitch about the moderators banning me.
To make myself clear, I support the team, want them to avoid the drop and to prosper at the Hive in front of growing crowds who in turn attract sponsors, corporates an ultimately investors. If people don't post inane bollox about how nice it is to be served a 1.80 coffee with a smile or how much better a stadium the hive is when compared to the Stoop, I'll avoid reminding them of exactly how far up poop creek we are and how e got there. If people stop saying "we've ha a short time to build a team" then I won't remind them what caused that.
