was watching an nfl doco. on one of their teams and they used the term bomb to describe those long high passes from quaterback to running back and i think gibson took that idea, realized you cant throw the ball forward in RL and adapted it to a "bomb" kick we have

Bradford Bulls prospective owners have withdrawn their offer to buy the club as a direct response to the 6 points taken for administration. The RFL can't blink here. If the club folds, it folds and Wakefield and Castleford's results, together with the next couple at least, could well need to be scratched, Bradford dropped down to the lowest tier available and Magic Weekend, either scratched or replaced with a 9's type event.
If Bradford Bulls prospective owners do walk away and there is no hope for them, I truly do feel for their fans, but that club has had more chances over the last 3 years to sort themselves out and the RFL really can't afford to bail them out again....can they?
Straight race with Wakey for 13th.......and some players available if we can afford them!!!!

Nah if they travel beyond the M62 they get nosebleeds. The good ones will go to the Yorkshire clubs like Wakey so they don't even have to move house. Would be interesting if they have to live within their income to avoid further action as the RFL are not happy with the way the prospective owners were behaving if they'd have to let their more expensive players go to save money. That might seriously affect the teams performance.
Loved the response from the RFL to the whinging by the Bradford Board... properly slapped them down.
In other news - is Rugby League in England possibly the only sport that we're more concerned about clubs going bust than actually the results on the pitch?? Such a sorry state we're in. Can you imagine the news if a PL football team or RU Premiership team went down that route... be unimaginable. Not since Leeds United and Portsmouth's problems have we seen this elsewhere... it seems to be a monthly concern in SL. Sad times.
London Broncos have never had ANY help from the RFL. Like being given promotion to Sooper League, because of your location. Us 'flat cappers' never had a club that was 'placed' into Super League, despite crap crowds and overseas 'has beens' southern jessie 'Dick Lewis' gave it to you.. Take the 'rough with the smooth' chaps, Bradford are getting the kinda help you would get also !
Trying to get my head round how southern jessie Dick Lewis gave us our place in Super League in 1995 when he did not join the RFL until 2002.
apologies to Richard.
"Despite not playing in the top flight, London Broncos were selected by the RFL to be part of the new Super League competition in 1996 on the basis that it was essential for the sport to have a high profile representative in the capital"

Even though it was In all probability before you were born or even ill-conceived, London were a requirement for the new TV deal. This is no longer the case but at the time, no London, no Uncle Rupert's allowance...and without that, where would the likes of PNG, Oldham, Workington, Sheffield, Halifax, Bradford Bills, Wakefield, Celtic Crusaders, Gateshead and Leigh be today
London will slip quietly into the lower tier this year, with no adverse reaction from SKY TV, no drop in revenue for the game and no visible damage to the player pool....England, GB or EUROPE will continue to get spanked by the criminal element and all those London based kids that are on the brink of playing top tier RL will be lost to the pimms brigade......and fuckwits like you will celebrate another pit town with a 5k average employing pacific islanders and average ANZACS......
Still.....we're not bottom for now. That's the Bradford Bills. Wanna talk about BAILOUTS?
