Really? Featherstone looked awesome in the games they played this season before lockdown and have made very clear intentions that they wish to be considered for SL next season by signing NRL players. Being part time does not seem to be stopping them from getting things right on and off the field and been ready to step up if asked.
York are part time yet have serious ambitions alongside moving into their new stadium.
I was a coach at Featherstone when Daryl Powell won the league, it could not have been a more professional set up yet the only full time members of staff were Daryl and 2 players that worked for the community team all day.
As I have said, nothing is decided and this journalist is talking balls but making sensible financial decisions based on the current economic climate does not have to be a negative. Looking at Featherstone this year you might argue it is a positive.
