One of my favourite memories in the Kings Bar was Mark Butcher randomly appearing with his band. Was a brilliant atmosphere post-game.
Beers before during and after the game used to be a fun part of the match day experience....now they are required on a medicinal basis to get you through the pain of watching an average side in the 2nd tier.
To answer the original question.
You can't solve a problem until you admit you have one.
The Problem the Broncos have starts with the word Mister and ends with the word Hughes. There are plenty of ex-pat northern Businessmen and ANZAC investors in the London Region, but nobody will touch the club whilst Hughes is there and certainly nobody will give him a brass farthing for the "husk" he has created. His intransience to anything he doesn't either understand or agree with has created a toxic club that has seen fans leave in their thousands and his apathy towards that exodus displays an arrogance that he believes money solves all problems.
Hughes Leaves. The club goes part-time and inside 10 years you'll have a mid table Championship side with 1,500 fans. If in that period some other investor comes along and sees the potential, you may see a tilt at SL inside that decade, but as it stands now, with Hughes at the helm, the club are deadwood.
Oldham must fancy their chances in a fortnight!
