I beleive these 'moans' are justified by a group of supporters who genuinely care about the growth and survival of their club. If the fans that are already attending are complaining about their game day experience, what are those new to the game going to think...

So I am not a real fan? Since my arrival in the country last year, I've attended plenty of games, bought a bit of merch (jersey etc), commited to going to Murrayfield this year and possibly to the Catalans game.

I didnt purchase a season ticket for two reasons.

A) My irregular travel and work commitments at the time made it hard to commit. In hind sight, after attending 3 games already this season I should have shelled out.
B) Wanting to bring friends to the game and sit with them

However, the club has probably benefited in the form that I will probably spend more on tickets then if I had commited on a season ticket. They have also benefited from me dragging 3 or more friends to each game this season. As you will find from previous posts, I am having trouble converting them to return purchases mostly due to sitting in front rows at most games. Last week at half time we found some better seats and took them, all 3 friends thoroughly enjoyed the dry second half with a decent view.

Its not to late to open the North to away fans in a GA capacity, I'm sure most of them would love the opportunity to sit together. I personally saw and spoke to a few irate Hull fans on Saturday.

What an idiotic post. Hardly unusual for you though.

hindscrack is spot on.

Are you delibdrately winding people up or were you born stupid? If all "real" supporters were STHs we'd never grow our crowds, as who's going to just buy a ST for a club they've never watched before?

There's considerable anecdotal evidence that casual supporters and friends of regular supporters are being put off attending ths season by the allocated seats only policy. I would have invited a friend along on Saturday who's never seen RL before, but I won't as she won't be able to sit with me and I can't be bothered with the hassle of attempting to find out whether I can move from my usual Gold seat to sit elsewhere with my friend. Yes, I could phone the club beforehand and attempt to make suitable arrangements, but what a f***ing palaver when more than two thirds of the seats in the ground are empty, or when I might not know whether friends will be able to make it until short notice.

At every other SL ground I've been to you can pay on the gate to either stand on a terrace or sit in unallocated seats; i.e. you can turn up, find your mates within the ground, and sit/stand with them. At the Stoop you can only go in one reserved seat and if you don't buy adjacent tickets with your mates at the same time as your mates you can't watch the match together.

I fully understand the need to minimise stewarding and staffing costs on matchdays, but by keeping these overheads to an absolute minimum in the short term we're strangling our chances of building our crowds in the medium/long term. (As if we can afford to turn anyone away when our crowds are barely half the next lowest average.)

We've got far too many different price bands; we should just have two price bands: something in the £22-£25 range in the central blocks near the halfwayline (reserved seating) and something in the £17/£18 range in whichever other parts of the ground are open (I accept we shouldn't be opening more than half the seats in the ground until we can fill most of those) with seats unallocated, thereby allowing regulars to sit with their mates who attend occasionally.

Just thought I would post some of the following positive comments Quins RU supporters have made (taken from the `ComeAllWithin` web site). I appreciate some prefer to stick to their own RU/RL code, but I think this demonstrates that there are some/many that are happy to watch either. If the new GM can get his act together with Mark Evans and offer a decent package to the RU fans, this could add significant numbers to our gate.

But as many have said, we are not going to entice new fans if we cannot offer decent seats......we either need to revert to having both main stands open, or have home fans in the West and away fans behind the sticks. Whatever the combination, it has to better than current arrangements which have turned into a complete `pigs breakfast`!!!

Managed to watch the first half (12-12) on TV - now that's what I call grit and determination, well done, great result!

Great result, but a serious lack of supporters, The RL bosses have got to do more to get the fans in, how we can't get 6,000 I just don't know.

The programme had a very interesting comment from the new GM saying they were at the same sort of stage as we were 15 years ago and he was looking at emulating ME's business model.

Its a good product, but the marketing is amateurish, Where are they at Union games they should be handing 2 for the price of 1 tickets for certain games. There should be adverts on the Tube and on buses. We have potential and its not being exploited.

Excellent result and some good defence this week.
We had a few out to boot. Keep it up lads.

Sarcasm helps keep you from telling people what you really think of them.

one thread on the serious issue of seating really ought to be enough.
