Quins RL staff trying to do some marketing to a prospective new audience.
Damned when they don't, damned when they do. Makes you wonder why they bother going to work each day, doesn't it??
Do you honeslty not see the problem with this? If done carefully and certain groups of people were targetted it would be great, but alas it has become a free for all and will end up costing the club money.
Damned when they do it completely wrong more like.
was watching an nfl doco. on one of their teams and they used the term bomb to describe those long high passes from quaterback to running back and i think gibson took that idea, realized you cant throw the ball forward in RL and adapted it to a "bomb" kick we have

And how crap will a half empty stand and no occupation on three other sides of the ground look, especially to National League sides who believe Quins have no right in Superleague and want a licence themselves????
As crap as it does now perhaps?
I think in theory, it's a smashing idea, but it needs monitoring and contolling. I would also request that everyone that wants in for £5 parts with their contact details so we can invite them back
As for those fans who slag off our crowds, they just need to realise that we lost 2 points of the licence application because of attendance,,,,,,,but still got in ahead of them.
Halifax v Widnes may well get a bigger gate than us this weekend......then you will really see a feeding frenzy on the VT
Yeah I do. Because it's an idea not from the forum "clique", that font of all things marketing a professional sports club to a mass audience, the "clique" turns into a bunch of Private Frazer's.

Nope, the problem is that it clearly hasn't be thought through at all. At least make the Leeds fans work for their unintended discount by restricting it to London soccer club shirts, for example.
Also, aren't the only people who know about this are people who already go on the Quins website? And so are people who will most likely be going anyway?
BTW, for all those who hated/were utterly indifferent to my 'Quins 13' name amendment suggestion, how about HarLEAGUEquins? Good for marketing if not for the official name, surely.

EASY THERE TIGER.........
If you can be bothered and let's face it, why would you, you can go back and read every post of mine regarding marketing. I never claim to know the solution to the problem, but I will always suggest ideas that may work. I am not part of any "clique" and the 50 or souls who post on here are after all, entitled to their opinion and to post it on a public forum.
As it is, the Club read these boards from time to time and I am sure they get depressed when I or anyone else (Listy) have a rant....but it should be remembered that we are just expressing our opinion.
As I have said, the footie jersey idea is a good one in principle and if is rolled out properly and managed effectively, should reap rewards in the long run.
Pointing out that I could, in theory, save myself £50 this weekend is just highlighting the need for a bit more thought......not slating the idea in total.

Yep, exactly what I posted and Lambeth Quin chose to ignore.

When are you going to stop with these bizzare and pointless suggestions?
"Hi mate, fancy coming to the Harleaguequins game?"
