Seriously, why would I travel an hour and a half (bit further from Cockfosters) and back to watch the game on TV, even if I didn't have Sky and my local wouldn't show it?

I'd probably just go to more away games if I wanted to do that kind of travel. Actually, there's a thought....

Trains from Waterloo serve 2 stations within 500 yards...3 bus routes that I can find and with the game KO at 6.30..... plenty of time to quaff ale and chew the fat after the game and get home. On the TFL site, Cockfosters to Fulwell station shows as a 1hr 19 minute journey..........not too bad IMO.....especially as the same site shows Ealing to Fulwell taking 1hr 22 mins.

Stunned is the best way to put it. I can get an E8, then a 267 from Brentford and then another bus to the pub. Took me about 1 hr for the wigan game....but who am I to argue with TFL.....

I can't believe you would actually consider travelling 1 and a half hours to watch a game on the TV. I'm all for supporting a Quins RL pub but that is very sad and odd.

20 minutes on the train and 16 minute walk to embrace the spirit of the Quins and hang out with my fellow supporters.

It's not just about watching the game. It's communing with the fans as well.

The Point is that when the Wendyball season starts we have a gnats chance in hell of getting League shown in pubs down here. The Bloomsbury is an opportunity to meet up with like minded fans and enjoy the game together. The alternative is we just all sit at home and watch it.......
I know the choice of pub is a little odd and I would have looked for a venue in or around Clapham or central London, but it's a start.
