The whole performance was an embarrassment, we had one of the worst home games I can remember in a long time, the ref was the worst I've seen at the stoop in many years (and their are many performances to pick from). I'm not saying he cost us the game, we cost ourselves the game, but he let Wigan get away with anything they wanted. Do refs not see offside when they come down the stoop? Are they all taken back by how south they are that they cannot walk 10 metres back a play while making the team move 10 metres back? Because it isn't just this game, it's nearly every game at the stoop, offsides at the line do not exist when a team is going down the centre of the field. Some of the offsides today were embarrassing, Wigan hardly ever making it back the 10, and when they did, they move up in a line before the ball is even played yet, and Alibert just let them get away with it. It's awful to watch, and he just looked clueless in the centre of the field. Also how was their only two forward passes in the whole game? Both were our passes? How can that even be right?
The team were awful, like Rea said, in his regurgitated statement from the Hull game 'they didn't play together, they looked at each other expecting the other guy to do the work for them' etc.. etc.. etc.. Rea's a clueless coach at times. How can he think we should start with Cook and Olsi as our starting props? This is against Wigan, they have a huge pack, and we start with a make-shift prop and a small prop, we had Bryant and Wheeldon on the bench, but that would be stupid, putting a big guy on from the start.
I can't even be bothered critising each players performance as I could be sitting at the computer for the next day it was that awful. They looked un-interested and couldn't give a damn.
And for those that comment on the fact Rea can't do anything about the team not performing because they are in contracts and he can't do anything about it, then he might be in the wrong job, as last time I looked a coach didn't just watch the players not care about teamwork or each other and let them carry on with it, this isn't the year 7's playing Rugby League for the first time, half of them have played it for the majority of their lives, and they have no excuses. If some of the players don't want to play then Rea should publicly name them and stop playing them, as he clearly hasn't got a voice anyone respects in the dressing room.
