Re: Super League doesn't need the Broncos : Thu Feb 13, 2014 1:22 pm
Jonathan Clarke came out of Prison and was directly signed by the London Broncos and it would be a fair bet to say that he would probably have taken an alternative Northern offer from a Super League club if one was available; we may very well have been his only SL option.Without our club at the time he may well have been semi-professional in the North and have retained the lifestyle which had previously seen him brawling and breaking necks and which has caused him trouble. A break for a year must have reinvigorated his career.
We also agreed to loan him to Warrington where he managed to obtain a permanent new deal and spend the majority of his career.
We have been fundamentally important to him.
But the difference between a man and a dog, is that if you look after the dog it will not bite you.
