And beyond that what do you want to see on the pitch in terms of the team. What areas of improvement would be acceptable?
The ability to complete sets in the opponents 1/3rd of the pitch and force repeat sets.
To tighten up our defence. It's not missed tackles that are costing us, but the failure to stop other teams offloading. And out wide is still a concern.....
To score tries through set plays. Last week we scored off 2 errors by the Bulls...the first with a defender jogging back, the second from a bomb that didn't go as far as we wanted but was dropped anyway....3 tries V Salford, 2 of those from stripped balls, one a 2 yard crash-over...of the 7 tries so far this season, 2 have come off set plays.
To see more offloads...which will increase our Tackle busts (1//3rd those of St Helens) as well as our error count but also out clean break statistic, with 8 made in 3 games.
I don't have the added luxury of seeing the full 80 minutes, but I do listen to the commentary, watch highlights and read stats and match reports. I'd suggest I don't need to 'BE THERE" to identify that we are not very good, at the foot of the table and highly likely to go all season without a win and are bolted on for relegation unless 2 teams go bust this year.
