Not at all. Torbreck listed the reflex rules.

"Any information related to a match, competition" etc. Also that an individual is personally responsible for their actions. Yes someone might be able to find the information out for themselves but why help them out. I doubt any player particularly an older one would be unaware of their responsibilities regarding this.

If a player was to put something like the following in a text what would your thoughts be;

No matter what the handicap is lump it on Leigh and put a ton on for me we are playing the kids

As an experienced and respected professional, he should have known better and he has no excuse if he did this.

However Stevie Wonder could have seen we were going to lose that game with the players that were available.

Unlike the bookies back in July 2008. We'd lost 3 or 4 to the disciplinary on the Tuesday and had another 3 on the treatment table, but the bookies still had us to beat Castleford, who I lumped 50 quid on to win and another 50 at +30 points for a return of over 500 I remember being upset that I hadn't had a bet on Dorn to score a hat-trick against us.

A Six Month ban from July, is not much of a ban for a player in Richies situation. Injured ? And with nothing really to play for.
