Great to see the optimism on this site. What a contrast to most of the last 2 years! But let us get a good home win and a decent performance at Hudds before we get carried away. Anyone got any news on Clubby?

Ive been following this thread for a while and it's good to see the optimism.

However I hope your not underestimating us, I know your players won't be. I know Your new coach has you playing better but don't forget, we could have beaten you last year twice, as you could have to us.

It's a shame brown and hock are missing however if we have briscoe, phelps and hanbury playing, expect a tough fight

Not underestimating anyone here! Hoping for a game as exciting as the one we had at the Stoop last year, although hopefully not quite as nail biting with the win secured on what I think was the last tackle of the last set of 6 of the match!

Do you have any idea of how many are expected down from Widnes for the game?

Although finishing bottom, the excitement in widnes is still buzzing at the moment. 5 of us are driving down in fancy dress. There's 3/4 coaches and loads are going in the train. Hopefully a good following, usually is from widnes.

Hopefully it will be a good game. No excuses here but I'd have liked to have seen our full team out for the first game. Potentially we could be missing:

Briscoe
Ah van
Marsh
Brown
Hock

However the top three are touch and go as far as I know. I've never been to watch widnes in London so I'm really looking forward to this one

Its not the end of the world if either club loses in this one as its the first game but it would be nice to get off the mark with a win. London look stronger this year, Tony has certainly brought some steel and resolve back to the squad and given your pre season results I can fully see why you expect to win.

Hopefully a good game all round and both clubs cant take positives out of it. as mentioned above Hock and Brown will be big misses for us in this one.
