Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

Dropping down a level to regroup, preferably under a new owner who understands running a business and who to employ as a decent marketing manager (there, I've admitted it - I agree with Gutterfax  ) might be a good idea.

While I hope we don't end up dropping a level I agree that if (yeah I know big 'if') this is done with a proper plan this could be used as an opportunity to regroup and rebuild. It might even lead to a better future in the long run rather than the current seasonal 'mare of bouncing around at the bottom of the SL.

I think we would be as well folding rather than dropping down, the new Super League One & Two from 2015 needs another Dr like Salford have to succeed, which we have never seemed to have many investors interested in, the new set up if adopted will lead to more teams going up and down, up and down!

All for moving to a smaller ground, if its a very long term deal, 25+ years. We are equal partners etc.

But why move to an area where there is a successful RU club? Saracens have set up shop in Barnet / Mill Hill area. Have crowds just under 10,000 have a bigger marketing dept, coumminty coaching dept and are much more successful.

We need to become a community club somewhere away from a big RU club. Set down roots and stay.

If we "drop down a level" we will stay there. There will be no support for our return as we are regarded as a project that will never work. With DH retiring who do you expect to finance our return to SL in the future. Im sure DH has had enough already and will not be interested in financing us further in a 2nd tier let alone go down the same road in the future. If i was him i would be saying 'enoughs enough'. I cant do this on my own and no other investors are around so.....

Well part of my proper plan would have meant investment, marketing etc... course if we don't have this then its all over I suppose. We can't really carry on as we are can we? As for who the investers could be - who knows? Where did the Salford Dr appear from? Do the owners of SELCO want to buy a rugby club? Or Barry Hearn? Or Tony Kleanthous? I'd hoped that Ian Lenagen would have stuck around, I thought he might have been our best chance but we all know how that ended up!

People who have made it rich like to patronise their home towns football/RL/RU club who they probably supported as a youth. They have been brought up on the sport in the town and have at some time made a strong affinity with the club. e.g.Simon Moran worth about £200 Million was born in Warrington. Ken Davey at Hudds is a yorkshireman who started his first business up in Huddersfield when he was 21. In June 2001 he sold his then company DBS for £75 million. Dr Koukash came here from Kuwait and has lived in Liverpool for about 30 years. Apparently he made his money from worldwide property developments. He may not have seen much RL but he clearly wants to get into getting a high sports profile in the local region. IL was a RL fan far from his roots at Wigan who were not for sale when he came to us. He was a rich RL fan living in Oxford? and clearly wanted more direct involvement in RL so although LB may have seemed to be a big task we were relatively close for travel purposes for him to get actively involved. If Wigan hadn't come up for sale we would have been a force in SL by now with his backing. Finding someone like him who has a RL background living down south who is prepared to put money into the LB's is one tall order. Remember, DH himself originates from Swinton so has that RL affinity from his youth which made a connection with us.

People like Barry Hearn will take some converting to a sport with a low profile down south with little credit locally let alone Nationally.

so it's not just us rumourmongering - Wilson now reporting it and says that at least one senior SL official has already been to inspect the place.
I really think this could be a massive step forward for the club. The Broncos might finally have found home sweet home. This would not be a step back, this could be the start of a true revival. Bring it on!

So what you're basically saying is we're screwed?
