on the issue of you claiming that "I'm always right". I have never said I am always right, but it obviously helps the more fragile of you on here feel better by making poop up about me.

Back on thread

Exactly what "positives" would the OP or the little gang of lemmings like to discuss. The nice new Kit that isn't available yet? The lovely polo-type shirts that can be seen on the players being interviewed by the press that aren't available or even in the clubs colours? That one of our coaching staff is on a leave of absence? That the club have taken to asking for advice on facebook as to how to market themselves and have received an idea about leafleting the locals as the work of Sir Martin Sorrell   before asking for volunteers to help out (what's happening to the RFL provided budget?) The absolute spanking delivered by Leeds? The worryingly familiar turnstile look of our defence out wide in both friendlies to date? The 75 combine attendance at 2 forums at the new venue? The continued lack of on-line purchase ability of tickets to the first home game of the season (10 days away)?

Come on guys, let's have some positives. And simply having a team and somewhere to play is not a positive.,....it is making the best of an extremely bad job!

Come on..get yourselves on facebook and tell the club how keen you are all to get yourselves down to help them leaflet the area.....it's your club after all

Oh...I nearly forgot. Coffee at the hive is 1.80 and not 2.50 as it was at the stoop......there's a really important positive for you all. I feel all warm and fuzzy

Gf the start of this thread was not having a go at you it was a simple request from a potential new fan that you give the negativity a break for at least one thread. Am very pleased that all the way from NZ you want to tell folk how to or not to get to the hive or have a dig for not getting to the stoop.
You are being a rear end!
We get the new fans get it, its all poop, but please try and stop discouraging the new blokes let em decide for thenselves

I didn't know this bloke in Aylesbury existed until he started on me Michael. If you want to have a pop at someone, try him or any of the other "watchers" who piped up with their collective 100 posts between them

Come on.....what positives do you want to discuss? There must be some? And I say again, having a team and somewhere to play isn't a positive....it's a bare minimum requirement.

Have to say, whomever is the moderator on facebook has a sense of humour....

That's what you perceived someone asking you to do something as. That they started on you?

To be honest your constant criticism is putting me off- please lay off it is boring what you constantly carp on about.

Feel free to point out where exactly I did that. Shouldn't be too hard for you to find given we're only on page 3.

read back you told some one how long it would take them to get to Twickenham and Harrow, using google to do so.

I don't have to live anywhere near the hive to know where it is or in fact, to type something into google and be given the information I require about the area.

then maybe you shouldnt have tried to use it as a way to prove a point

Good for you, but it bothers me not whether you listen or not....

It clearly does as you feel the need to respond

Again with this attempt to make it sound like I was giving advice? Why is that? Does it upset you that your "local knowledge" might not be as useful as you think? I am stunned that millions of visitors hit the capital each year without first "hitting you up" for advice on where to go and what to do

You think putting LOL on the end of your posts make you funny how sad. I believe you were telling our friend how little difference there was between the 2 journeys, I call that advice, you can call it what you like.

That'll explain the post code starting with H then as well as the fact that The Hive is in the London Borough of Harrow
Slitting hairs and being pedantic won't make you right BTW......it only marginalises you further!

That's a bad example to use to a Barnet fan, our post code is EN5 which is Enfield, a team that we have a rivalry with going back 100 years. The post codes don't even correspond to the local authority areas, they are based on where the sorting office is.

Why don't you use google to see how close Harrow is to Edgware? If you did you would realise how wrong you are, I wasn't spliting hairs, the london borough of Harrow and the London borough of Barnet are large areas and the Hive is only 400 yards over the border from the london borough of barnet but actually 6 miles from Barnet itself. It is also a 15 minute drive from Harrow, going through Kingsbury and Kenton to get there.

Tell you what though. Get yourself down to the Hive and tell them you'll hand out leaflets and help with the marketing. Not sure if they'll pay you for it though....the marketing budget given to them by the RFL is being used to ask for advice on facebook

Do you know what, 2 weeks ago I was handing out leaflets for Barnet and next weekend I will be again. I have no problem with helping the Hive promote my team. Supporters getting involved in promoting their club, now that's a novel idea. I can guarantee the Hive got far more out of their contact with fans than some leaflets, maybe if the previous marketing team had taken time to talk to fans to work out the best way of promoting the team they may have made better use of the money.

This is an internet forum and as such, you will get differing points of views....the OP wasn't asking me to do anything. They felt that strongly they wanted to maximise their desire to express their displeasure at my style of posting and my stance on the club that they started a thread. That's not "asking me to do something"....that's starting on me!

Also, their request for me to lay off is based on them being "put off"???? If the musings of an internet forum poster are sufficient to "put someone off" then I suggest the precious nice person should grow a set or love off to watch something else.

Touched a nerve? Not a jot of it. If I hadn't responded, would that have been me told?

The constant unfounded attempts to promote positivity about the club are far more tiresome than any number of my posts IMHO, but I don't feel the need to start threads asking the lemmings to stop posting
