as often as not, these things just don't "pan out".

That said, he could well have found his level with us and he did play 5/8th at Catalan for 4 games in 2011 and they beat Wire, Wigan, FC and the Mighty Quins in all games...with only Hull FC at Home

To put that into context, when he was playing 5/8 for Catalans he was playing with his childhood friend and housemate Scot Dureau, and Scot has always been a guy who loves doing all the playmaking and calling all the shots, so all Ben really needed to do was follow instructions and run off Scot, and when he played 5/8 for the Cowboys he was basically doing the same thing beside JT, who also calls all the shots.
Ben is a very handy fullback who loves to run off the halves and do a bit of setting up of his centres or wingers, and he can do the same thing from 5/8 if the half wants to do all the kicking and all the first receiving, but he couldn't kick a ball to save his life I wouldn't think.

Well he has Gigot to run off now who has hell of a kick on him. If he's got his zip back lack you say he could be our top scorer this season if we play to his strengths. He sounds a smart player and a good support player. I think we'll see a a lot of grubber kicks this season with such a lot of inexperienced players and someone like him will benefit from that. I have a good feeling about Ben. Seems we've taken a risk but if TR knew he has his fitness back it could prove a masterstroke. Does anyone know if he's on the plane for the Widnes game :D

Farrar has been keeping fit by being up with Wests, but also has been working as an S&C coach up in Adamstown. So I believe.

That statistic alone should tell you more than how many games at 5/8 he has played. It is a wonderful omen.

Meanwhile, ask yourself would you rather have the No 6 jersey worn by Farrar or Gigot?

Good to hear RB. We need good experienced players to help the younger players and he sounds about right to me wherever he plays. He was obviously a very good player before his injury so its in his DNA. Just a case of him being match fit IMO so i reckon the clubs done some good business :D

Usually think you're just too negative, jb, but I'm with you on this one.

I thought that under Powell's coaching he did have a confidence problem, but two years of TR hasn't cured that, if it was the case, and I can't believe that more of the same is going to help. He'll count as being club-trained of course and that may help with the convoluted squad make-up regulations.

The lad has had his chance over a very long period of time and some with TR as well. He is now taking up our salary cap again. What if the chance comes up to sign another Jamie Soward later in the season. This sort of signing may scupper that. There must be fringe ex academy players not getting a wage who could have done a better job. Awful decision.

Welcome Quins Kitties born 02.04.09 -
Purdo - Determined, loveable with a "can-do" attitude. A born leader.
Louie - Big, white and fluffy. A very noisy prop forward.
Harley- Cute and gorgeous (just like our no.9) Well, I couldn't call her Chad, could I?
Update on Quins Mogs :-
Purdo - deffo leader amongst Mogs. The Capo.
Louie - turned out to be more like Louie Spence than LMS. Re-named Judas.
Harley - Cute but not as gorgeous as our no.9.
Oh well, at least I haven't got a Willy.

Re: Triple Signing : Fri Feb 14, 2014 1:46 pm
Disagree with the JO'C comments.

ATEOTD, we are desperate for players and Jamie has plenty of SL experience.

Beggars can't be choosers...who is available that would be willing to come here, especially in our current circumstances?

Anyone remember the JO'C try up at Cas? Was a fantastic effort...we need more of them!

I'm surprised we haven't re-signed Will Sharp...one-time London player with the most potential (according to Brian Mac).

Mind you, I'd like to see NBQ in a London jersey...(or without, come to that!)
