Have a look at the league table......although I'll concede it may have been a sensational turd!

CLICK HERE and scroll down. It's towards the bottom that you'll see my point of view has some credence.
46 points shipped as an average per game.....v Wigan we shipped 36 points and played "the best we had all season" which points to a major....and I mean A MAJOR continued improvement to get even close to scoring competition points this year.
FACT over opinion generally holds sway and the FACTS are we are the worst team in SL XIX and possibly the worst SL team ever.

The thread is about the game at Wigan and once again, I refer you to the people who actually attended the game.

And I again refer you to the competition table, which the Wigan games performance has contributed to. Then there's the statistics page from superleague.co.uk where, yet again, THE FACTS point to us being crap.

I appreciate the opinion of those that were there, but it doesn't change anything. Others that were there have said that some Wigan players seemed to treat the game as a training run and once they shook off their initial apathy, they cruised to victory.....an opinion that is backed up by the scoring sequence.....we went 10-0 up to go 26-10 down, then when we scored again with the game out of reach to go 26-14 with 5 minutes left, Wigan added 2 more scores.
Wigan made 50% more meters than us and made 20% less tackles......

You do not have to "BE THERE" to comment......as much as you'd like that to be the case.

Yeah, yeah. Carry on with your incessant negativity. "It's being so cheerful as keeps me going" as Mrs Mopp used to say.

Who are this mythical "others that were there"
Actually I think an opinion from somone who was at the game of the performance a bit more interesting than someone 12k away.

Check out the Wigan board, as well as match thread on TR.COM.......then there's the match reports around the web and the comments from the Wigan coach.

Good for you. Interesting doesn't equate to accuracy BTW....we got beaten 7 tries to 3....67 tries shipped in 8 SL games thus far......19 scored and we've cracked 20 points in a SL game once.

As for these interesting opinions of those who were there.......the same posters grasp every glimmer of positivity from each passing defeat with the tag-line that "they're getting better". Unfortunately, they may well be getting better as they get more time together, but so are the other 13 SL sides. We currently need 3 wins to avoid relegation. We are chasing Wakefield and Catalan....a win this weekend will see us at the heady heights of 12th.
We haven't beaten the Dragons as the Broncos v.2...............keep on smiling and COYB!

I genuinely believe the score flattered Wigan. I was in the South Stand shouting Laaaandon at the top of my voice. It was part of my stag and I was reasonably intoxicated by then so think I overly celebrated our second try so much that the whole stand was abusing me when they invariably came back in the game. All good banter and at the end we were congratulated for a good performance which it was.
Not sure if you have seen the highlights but the ref had a shocker. If that game had been televised the scoreline would have been so much closer. We had two tries called 'held-up' whgen I believed both (if not one 100%) should have registered and Wigan had another, think it was Sarginson that was nowhere near the line. Wigan fans agreed. shocking display!
Thought we fought hard and went further into the 80 than we have done previously.
For me, the major dissapointment was Mataitonga. Clearly not fit and did not look like he was making much of an effort, giving up if not missing most tackles.
On the other plus side I can comfirm that a night out in Wigan is more than messy and £13 for 9 double vodka's and red bulls, you would not be too suprised about that!

Hahahahahahahahahah

Heres a quote from another site/forum I go on Peza,

" You wasn't the London fan who got smashed and started kicking off was you pete lol "

Apparently you've entered Pie folk-lore, dude! :ROCKS:

GF I looked at the wigan board, before I posted that, they are not happy because they did not "put on the show" that they expect and did not rack up a cricket score. Wayne actually complimented us on the performance if you read the report! Wayne actually has a go at his own supporters for not creating the atmosphere at the game. Cant see anyone especially Wayne saying its a training run. We all agree we lost, we are all getting the poop polishing t shirts, nobody is saying we are all of a sudden gonna leap up to 4th with a string of wins! But as sports fan you have to look at the positives as well as the negatives. Your view is Wigan took it as a training run, others view it as maybe the London squad started getting it together and were competing for parts of the game, resulting in wigan not playing at there best!
