Fwiw a head shot is not instant red card! the opinion of a fan sat 50 mtrs away compared to the ref and tj maybe 10mtrs away can be quite different.

I've not commented on Bloem before, Micky. I do accept that such incidents as that which warranted the yellow card can look worse than they actually are. However, there were numerous high shots on London players throughout the match, and as others have pointed out, it's rare to see a penalty count so completely contrary to the score of the match itself.

Generally we give away a heck of a lot of penalties, it's what usually is why we lose games, fast play the ball means we either don't get onside or get pinged for messing around trying to slow down the ruck.
Our discipline is generally shocking.
The fact is the referee only reacts to what the players do or don't do, they don't make things up you know!

Sorry but you must be watching a different game to me. We are no worse than the opposition in any facet of the ruck area, be it slowing it down, hands in, little bit of afters BUT we are the ones ALWAYS penalised. Similarly off side, the issue here is the lack of consistency of where the referee stands, ie sometimes 11m and lets the players edge in front, sometimes 10m, sometimes less. Its plain and simple either the ref is trying to give the part time teams a leg up (sub consciously or not) or he's not up to the job, either way the standard is extremely poor - and yes, without a ref there is no game.

The point I guess a lot of people will make, ok,the point I will make, lmao! Is, should a full-time proffessional team really be hindered by poor refereeing when up aginst a team of part-timers?

The reality is, as full-time proffessionals, our squad has not played as such, and have shown they are no better than the semi-pro's.

ANY full-time team should be able to put a good 12 point gap between themselves and part=timers by the final hooter, our guys struggle and find the tedious journey up the M1 a real bother.

On the subject of signing. I did notice that another of our old boys is leaving Cas as well and that is Scott wheeldon and as a big forward I'm hoping it's him more than channing we are linked with.
As it's a bigger pack we need not backs as pointed out by most here before me

He didnt look that impressive when he played for us? He also seemed to want to go back north.

Agree its forwards and an organiser we need. Barthau seems to have potential if we can keep him fit.........
