Quite a lot, if you want ensure financial viability of a club.

See you never responded to my Huddersfield attendance problems, remember it was only a short while since they were top of Super League, they survive with a chairman who has pumped in a lot of personal money, and this is the birth place of the sport, take away Leeds, wonder how many clubs attendances pay the bills? Wigan, Hull, Warrington, they may be all close. Look at Championship clubs, how many pay their way from attendances.

Is it a Great Lie though?

There was a time (not that long ago) when jaybs was the lone voice of apology. I love this sport, and I love my team

Now it's like a chorus where David Hughes is given a virtual Get out of Jail free card because he puts a team out on the park.

Literally in his case.

The great lie repeated. Believe it or not I did actually note that attendances in the last couple of years may have fallen short of the 15,000 who saw Fulham play Wakefield at Craven Cottage. Believe or not I did note that we were playing Batley instead of Brisbane last year - despite the similarity in the kit!

There is not one person who doesn't recognise that this club has been poorly run and is a pale shadow of the team from 1997. Guess what - I'm going to watch them anyway.

So you don't think attracting a crowd is important in terms of financial viability ? You would rather we be dependent on a chairman to fund a club ? The problem is when your chairman doesn't know how to run a club you end up in an increasingly big hole.

That's what most folk don't seem to get Andover boy. I am with you, some folk cannot understand that. How not going helps improve the situation is beyond me. The facts are quite simple, until I win the euro millions I cannot do nothing to change the situation apart from go through the gate of not, I quite like my nose so I ain't cutting it off to spite my face. Every other poster on here is in the same boat, reality is there us very little any of us can do to change it. Facts are facts at the moment Mr hughes walks we fold, Salford Mr kougash walks quite likely they fold, Mr Green at Bradford Huddersfield Wakefield leigh do I need to go on?
But tgey all keep going one way or another, why? Because those owner financiers hang around. It means I get to watch the sport I love though.
Does not make me an apologist or a deluded few, makes me a fan of the club who wants to encourage those 17 blokes every week.

The club will evolve in whichever way it evolves, don't forget tho Wigan were runners up to York in div 2 many years back, Wigan seem to do OK, and hey York are still around, there fans never gave up

Where do they play, didn't they? What numbers do they get now compared to then, equally Wigan. 1982 is different to the SL era(Leigh were in the top Div!!). We are now living in a very different commercial environment.

Its good that people like you stick it through Mickey. For me I like to watch the best week in week out, rightly or wrongly. I like the crowds, the atmosphere, the buzz, the anticipation, great players showing threr skills of, great moves, great tackles, high speed defence and attack.................

I can watch local rugby and get the same buzz as watching the current Broncos team. Similarities being both play on a back field with just a few fans.

Don't take that as a criticism.

Well Said Andover Boy! just think if all the clubs who have struggled in Rugby League their fans were so negative, there would be No RFL today, including Super League Clubs.

I have one day a week off. What I choose to do with my day off is what I have done for the last twenty or more years, follow The Broncos.
In fact last season I went to more away games than I have ever done. Through thick and thin. They are my team. It is my choice.
No SAD, LONELY ,PATHETIC, MORON ranting on will stop from going.
I am free to choose and I have chosen to buy my season tickets for next season.
On Monday week I have chosen to attend the Open Day, where I intend to buy next seasons shirt
IT IS MY CHOICE!
