I will come back on all that has been mentioned from my post.

1) Used to live in Richmond (Surrey) for 6 years. Very nice it was to. But as a resident I was at pains to add it was not London.
2) Prior to that I lived in Putney which is London and very nice it was to.
3) Prior to that I lived in Lewisham. Very close to where you lot played ( Crystal Palace / Charlton) poop 4ole sums that area up.

Before moving down south I lived in Beverley. Not classed as Hull but probably closer to central Hull than Twickenham.

I was being a bit tongue in cheek before, but I feel that having lived in both areas and now working in Westminster I can comment on where I would rather live. I can assure you it would have a HU post code and not a London one.

People slag off Hull and yet they have never lived there. Most probably have never been. Its not until you live in an area that you can really comment. I would suggest that there are many more happy and contented people in the Hull area then in London.

Anyway back to Saturday. I will be enjoying a day at SYON Park and then onto Richmond Park with the family as I miss thoughs areas and then I will be off to your state of the art ground to see a rare Hull victory in Surrey.

Hmm. You say Hull, yet your search is for "Kingston upon Hull" and only matches sites that use the full name. Such deception and trickery may work in London but not on me. Tut, tut.

Quite. Although having lived in both places I like both. They each have their own attractions and advantages.

But then it was Dave Lister who turned this into a Hull vs London thread, so I hope everyone else is as disappointed with themselves as I am that we fell into his trap.

I've lived in lewisham for the last 17 years. Its not a 'poop 4ole'. So what are you basing this opinion of yours on??

I base it on having lived there in the early 90s. My opinion simple as. Which makes my point about people slagging Hull off. They invariably have not lived there or even been there, yet feel that they can slag it off because of some poxey surrvey in a magazine. Beverley was recently voted the best place in the country to live. Its good but is it better than anywhere else.

Finally this thing about cod. Hull folk don't eat cod. Southerners do for my experience.

Anyway I love Hull and I love London. Both have rough parts, imo. I.E East Hull and Lewisham :D

Whatever you say, cod head.

Interesting to note that he's sort of correct as Haddock dominates in the Northern chippys while its cod in the Southern ones.
