Yes - ours.

Skolars want to grow a their base in North London, fair enough. They want to use our reserves to strengthen their team, fair enough. It wasn't so long ago we needed a Leeds player (Liam Botham) to save our season, and we have a history of loan players - almost including a Skolars player (Rubert Jonkers), so we should be cutting slack, not cutting.

also where do you think the reserves come from - Joe Mbu, Dennis Tuffor, Ade Adebesi and so on. err London Skolars

Not the point ES. The point is that something has gone very wrong at Skolars this year. Very very wrong!
The Challenge Cup event will bring in some much needed revenue for the club and I do hope it goes well, but regardless of where some of our reserves came from I think it is very arrogant for the Skolars to believe that they are our main feeder club. Quins have scouts all over the SE and yes, I am sure that Skolars players are monitored from time to time, but by no stretch of anyones imagination are you the main feeder club.

Skolars need Quins more than Quins need Skolars.......and I will repeat, the reason for me having a pop was that I was shot down for suggesting that we loaned players to you to help out....and then the fact that a couple of our reserves are now running out for you is being used to market your event. I have no major quarrel with Skolars....but they have been badly managed this year IMO that is!

I can be patronised by a lot of things, but what I won't do is put up with a club that on one hand has fans who ridicule the idea of taking Quins reserve players on a more regular basis and then uses the same quins players to sell tickets to a dead event.
Good luck......but I really hope this event is the kick up the 'arris your management need to help them realise that their little empire is dead in the water. 46 points is the average difference between the Skolars and the opposition this year......enjoy!
And before anyone jumps on me.......sport is a business and the Skolars a prime example of not how to run a business in Sport. 300 fans........getting spanked every week and when offered an opportunity.....they turn it down on "principle"...

My view for what it's worth: It's people like Hector and co, who got off their backside and built a community-embedded club out of nothing, giving light to so many young kids in the process, who will make Rugby League a significant participation sport in London. GF, on the other hand, aside from a few whimsical marketing ideas, has so far delivered the square root of zero in terms of impact.

So what if Skolars are having to cut their clothes to suit their cloth a bit at the moment? They exist, and that is an achievement in itself. The arrogance of the idea that Skolars should change a long-established event to support their supposed senior partners just beggars belief. If the idea had merit, on balance, I'm sure they would have done it. Instead they looked at it, decided it didn't, and exercised free will... result? Sulking and bizzare anti-Skolars rants from people. FFS.

Agreed. I have come up with "whimsical" ideas that the club haven't tried and guess what, the untried ideas haven't worked. Brilliant!......but your point is?

(1) Stop sulking because Skolars have made a decision you don't like
(2) The management team of Skolars have done more to promote our game (and help keep kids off the streets in the process) than you or most people on here, so they have earnt the right to make such a decision many times over.

It is called respect.

...I was bought up on the wild and windy streets of Shepherds Bush ,then moved to Hanworth (Better class of Chav ,very near to Feltham) so I should not have much fear about travelling across London..but that walk from the station to Skolars makes me very uncomfortble indeed...

Personally speaking I am really disappointed that the game is not a double header and not at the stoop - mind you im also disappointed that I've only got one willy -

Skolars stadium is a hole at the rear end of London and a doubleheader the day after the cup final would have been a great party.
