Just out of interest Barry, why have you joined this forum?

Dave I have joined this forum to discuss topics with other footy fans.

You might think I'm trolling/flaming/whatever.

I'm not.

I would like to see RL flourish in London.

But if your club keeps coming up with gems like the OP states ..... be honest...how can you see crowds increasing????

The bottom line is that RL/Footy/call it what you will will NEVER be as popular in the South of England as it is in the North.

I don't think anyone can dispute that.

So you need to work with what you have.

You need to win as many of your home games as you can

You need to pull more crowds in.

The only way you will pull more crowds in is if people have a positive experience at your ground and tell their friends.

The suggestions I got off your own clubs website and posted at the start of this thread will NOT increase crowds.

Thats my opinion.

Just because you may not agree it doesn't make it wrong.

So you want to see RL flourish. So I assume you intend on attending the rest of the games this season?

Do you not think your comrades down the Church and Walkabout etc have a similar opinion to you, or are you a totally different being?

You've yet to come up with any ideas that will add any more supporters to the gate. You said we should advertise in the Church. Great. But what do we advertise? Nothing? We have a 4 game strategy to advertise - great. Hopefully the relevent locations will be targetted.

But they are not big names!!!!!!!

You wont hear a bunch of Aussies in a pub talking about London RL and saying 'I really want to go to the stoop this weekend...I hear Luke Dorn
Karl Temata,Chad Randall,Luke Williamson,Chad Robinson and Dylan Skee are lining up against Celtic Crusaders'

No disrespect to those players but they arent exactly Darren Lockers or Israel Folaus are they???

to be fair The goons, stains or the whinos don't have massive Aus stars in their squad either.

Still sidestepping though

Actually I didnt say that, it was someone else.

Basic marketing is that you have to make your product or service attractive to your target audience so they will part with money to buy it.

How can you do that in London where soccer is the only sport that really counts??

How can Celtic Crusaders do it in South Wales where Union is all that matters???

However those clubs decide to go forward........the 4 'ideas' that Harleqins have come up with won't do it

Jeez - we only managed 3500/3800 or something with Richie Barnett, Jason Hetherington and Jim Dymock in the side.

And again, you offer nothing, apart from criticisising what are 3 decent ideas (1 bad idea, i'll give you).

8213 vs St Helens 2006 as Quins.

I'm guessing the biggest as Broncos specifically is 8067 where Jungle.com sorted the Cas fans out in 2000. Could be wrong there though.

Only looking at league games as others are irrelevent.
