Well f**k my hat, I didn't know that!

Come all without, come all within, we're London Broncos not the H********s!

Anything over a 400 average next year is dependant on the curiosity of away fans more than anything. Broncos fan base is not the youthful group it used to be and regardless of their devotion, I can't see them getting across from sidcup for the visit of dewsbury in the same number was say Leeds.

I'd be careful about knocking the devotion of the Sidcup Massive GF if I were you! :D

Find me a club with a bigger support AFTER relegation in RL.

It's less than 10 years since the Championship drew 21k to the play-off final and a TV attendance higher than any Super League round game. Reading http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2007/o ... ague.sport seems scarcely believable such is the damage the RFL did to the Championship simply by closing off promotion. Cas averaged 5k+ that year - in answer to your question, I don't know if this was more or less than the year before in Super League but it would probably be broadly similar.

However, the conditions for a vibrant Championship are back - there'll be meaningful play-offs, promotion is possible and Sky TV coverage returns. It's up to the clubs to pick up the gauntlet but it is eminently possible that the Broncos can add to their 800 or so speccies if they are (1) competing in the top half of the table and (2) can engage with the current and lapsed fans. You might think both are unlikely but the point is that your rubbishing of the Championship ignores its very recent history when Cas, Widnes, Hull KR and the like put out decent teams and played to some healthy, and occasionally massive, crowds.

But, as I say, it's up the Championship clubs - now including the Broncos - to make the most of this tail wind.

Pleased it will be hopefully shown on the telly, i cancelled premier sport this year because they dropped it, their was some pretty good games shown.
NRL somehow I find dull, its wierd.

The new system actually gives (ambitious) clubs somehting to play for, unlike this season

The reality of the middle 8 for the 4 Championship clubs is the "something to play for" is going to be to get fifth spot and hope to win the playoff!

Gutters, genuine question: Why do you so often resort to personal abuse in "support" of your arguments? I really don't understand it and, from my perspective, it serves only to diminish your credibility.

Why i rarely post anymore. Every thread ends up in the same situation

I actually usually agree with most of what gutterfax says - - but this constant dragging back of every thread to the same topic/argument is a bit depressing.

I have hated this season, worse than the last two which were pretty dire. We are not competitive, losing players by the week etc. ........... I have been to every home game and Widnes, HKR away. For the first time i am off to france and giving St Helens a miss,

But will be back nest year - hopeful, but worried........................

I find it very hard to be positive about next year or any year until we have a long term agreement in place with a stadium. I'm sick of supporting a club that changes stadium every couple of years, we will NEVER be successful at any level with no stability and until the club presents me with a long term secure plan I won't be going to home games unless it particularly suits me.

The planning for next year is actually quite encouraging, but it means nothing if the club don't secure an actual home long term.

Selco, answer our prayers!

David Hughes - The Gerald Ratner of Rugby League? Discuss. Or not as the case may be.

Would you deny Gus an enduring legacy?

I bet he still wears his replica gear down the pub.

Or on a park bench with a bottle of White Lightning these days. ;)

Life is pretty simple: You do stuff. Most fails. Some works. You do more of what works.
