1 Do some research on other teams sites and you will see a trend of going of topic
2 Thats because we have no fans and nothing to discuss
Why don't you add something of value to discuss rather than sitting in your chair moaning. Lets challenge you to setting of the next thread- go on inspire us, Mr Inspirational
1. Why would I want to research other teams sites? My interest is in the Broncos.
2. Perhaps it's because all the threads, no matter what the topic, end up with the same argument that only a handful of people appear interested in.
Why should I start a topic that would immediately drift off topic and would end up as a argument about the merits, or otherwise of DH, a handful ex-employees of LB or the past marketing strategy of the club. I've read it all before!
I'll post again when some more interesting discussions are taking place.
WQ I said “a junior member of the squad”, not a junior player, he has squad number 21 puts him pretty low down the order, so yes a junior member of the squad that will need guidance from the senior players a bit like Lewis B
Lu2 if you did look at threads on other clubs boards, you will see some have nothing at all. Those that do tend to meander around the topic, quite usually ending up on something totally different from the first post just like on here. Some folk get very animated and very excited about things, some like to argue or debate depending on your view, some look at things in a negative view some positive, some even get upset. Some look to what’s to come others are all about what’s happened, but despite everything it’s because we all care about the club even when we disagree about stuff.
JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.
By the way underlining bigger font in bold does not mean anyone reads it louder! Calm down fella!
I don't care at what volume you read it, so long as you do. You are in denial if you think that the club lives within its means...a number of other posters ave attempted to explain it to you but as usual, you're totally incapable of accepting you are wrong.

Why is it that nearly every post in this forum goes off topic and the post ends up with the same old argument about the past?
Lovell was the past...he is now the future apparently and therefore we are on topic and AFIK, the content of a forum is delivered by it's members, so why not comment on Lovell and what you think he brigs to the side?

I notice that apart from a handful of people, no one bothers to post.
That's because open debate was outlawed a while back and "the party line had to be toed", even though most contributors on here could see that the club was being decimated, saying as much was an offence! There are plenty of people I know who no longer attend games any more.....it's not because they didn't like the conversation that were had before, rather that they were right in their assertion that we were heading for the exit door and don't see the point in bothering any more because no matter what they say or do, it has no impact on the 1 person who has got us to where we are......

Well when a thread on a signing of a junior member of the squad goes to 4 pages
Made his London debut in 2012...he's not junior at all, just indicative of how far we have fallen and as has been alluded to by LU2.......it may be 4 pages but strictly on topic it ain't!
LU2 contrary to dogs claim, open debate was never outlawed in his words. What actually happened was when someone decided that personal abuse of club officials and constant use of foul language was there chosen approach they quite rightly get asked to leave! Apparently folk don’t attend games because they don’t get an e mail, phone call, letter, car to pick them up to take them to the game, or, we kept losing and folk don’t like to watch a team loosing, then we dropped a league, the draw of batley not quite the same as leeds or wigan, so drifted away to other things. Some folk on here see the answer to a debate as, no yr wrong and I am right, rather than saying, hey that’s your opinion let’s see how it turns out. For some there is a desperate need to constantly lay blame for what’s happened. But hey it keeps em happy. For me. Welcome back Will Lovell, reckon any starts he will get will be off the bench this year, hope he builds into a decent squad member and adds summat. FWIW his pro record for the games played he has scored more than Mark Loane who is probably the most experienced squad member.

Actually, that's not what happened at all, but you believe what you want.

We were hemorrhaging fans and cash for years before it got to the stage where we were heading for the trap door.....

Simply put, in the case of you saying the club are living within their means, you are wrong and various other posters are right. Your answer to debate is to repeat that Hughes debt isn't s debt, even though it has been explained that fiscally, it is a debt that sits on our books until either paid or written off......your assumption that Hughes will write it off may well be right, but at present, it is an assumption and not fact.....it's not a valid opinion when faced with the cold hard fact that the debt sits on our current set of accounts.....and therefore means we are living beyond our means!

As oft repeated...Einstein reckoned that doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome is the definition of insanity....I will therefore repeat going over the mistakes of the past until the idiot paying the bills stops doing the same thing over and over again......we have no back-office staff to speak of, an untried coach, are indebted to the owner for 2 million a year (as we were at the big bad nasty stoop) and have an average squad who are apparently on very good full time money.....we also have 3,300 fewer fans attending games than we did when Hughes became the sole owner, or 43,000 over the season who at 15 quid a pop would remove 33% of our reliance on Hughes.......it really is simple maths.

He's average......so he'll fit right in at the wedding venue.
