Well have you ever seen a ref knock on? Or one be offside! Just a thought!

No but clearly some Refs are one side. However, did once see a Referee drop his whistle. Not seen a player do that.

What kind of answer is that? Perhaps that's where we've been going wrong, expecting the ref to get decisions right rather than being able to play the game. Hope you had a bit more of a sensible approach when speaking to players who dared question a decision of the ref.

He is the only person defending the referee, whilst others, who rarely post criticism of the referee are adamant that he was pants.
I wasn't there, but I have seen the challenge on social media and even a relative newbie like me can see that the challenge was illegal and the consequences potentially lethal and therefore, regardless of some pipe-dream defense about "playing advantage", the Ref should have immediately blown and the tackler should have been shown Red. Instead, it took London players getting stuck in for anything to happen and as a result we were down 2 men to their one, as a direct result of their foul play and an inadequate referee.

Where are the modern day Billy Thompsons, Fred Lindops, Russel Smiths, Karl Kirkpatricks or John Holdsworths?

Under Cummings & now Ganson things are getting worse.

Yes, Ganson like many at the top of Rugby League is stealing a living. He needs to go and go now.

The rot truly set in under Stuart Cummings. He was an awful ref in his day, then an awful Director of Referees, and now a truly dispiriting commentator. And somehow the RFL followed his tenure with the appointment of Steve Ganson, who spent his life show pony-ing around the grounds.

This could be part of the problem, the good ref is the one you don't notice but Ganson doesn't seem likely to train those.
