Sounds like the most progressive and entertaining performance we’ve had by miles. Sadly for us Ellis doesn’t miss with the boot and we can’t win with only 12 on the pitch but I like the way we came back when they had a flurry of tries at start of 2nd half that showed a bit of character. Ultimately though no points so we are still in deep trouble.

Much better showing & with Dewsbury losing nothing changes but a win would have been such a boost for next week. If only we could find a reliable kicker.

I think Leyland is a big step up from Mockedrike. Commentator was raving about his first kick against Workington.

Perhaps we should stick with him for the next couple of games?

Agreed, the only way he will get better is to keep kicking.

I agree. Not sure he has the toe Mockedrike has but the way Mockedrike kicks the ball never gave me any confidence. All a bit hit and hope. Mind you after Coates all things are relative.

win next week and we are out of the Bottom 2..

This season is all about being better than Dewsbury and Workington nothing more. Looks like Haven are safe now, especially as they still have to play Workington twice.

Wonder how significant that point at Barrow will be at the end of the season

Exactly what I was thinking. Mike Eccles should be so proud of the performance (and his coaching) today swapping 50% of the team around and I don't believe the yellow card was the single reason we lost - at 6-18(HT) and then 18-28 we should have won. I was expecting a spanking but it wasn't the case and this is the third game we've lost by just 2 points. Dewsbury & Widnes are next, both winnable, but will we implode again.
