no, it was pointless and groundless, as in I didn't start a drift in this thread. I get it that people would rather forget the past and look to the future, but the sweeping statements about the pastel period in out history were worthy of rebuttal. 294,000 people watched 79 home games as Harlequins RL at an average of 3,720......I believe that with those Quarters on, this was the best period (6 years) in the clubs history support wise, despite the confusion as to what we played and where we played it!

Just once I'd like to read a thread that doesn't end up with a statistical analysis of how many spectators we had at which venue, and a collection of emoticons. The word monomaniac springs to mind.

Cor blimey, have you got your rose ( or pastel)tinted specs on? Never thought of the H********s years as being the good old days!

Them's the figures...the only 6 year period that comes close is the one to 2005 and we went bust at the end of it!

Gus attended a meeting with the sponsors who asked for a business/marketing plan........haven't heard back since.........
