was watching an nfl doco. on one of their teams and they used the term bomb to describe those long high passes from quaterback to running back and i think gibson took that idea, realized you cant throw the ball forward in RL and adapted it to a "bomb" kick we have

I believe quite a few Barnet fans wanted TK out also, a few years ago. Little did they know of his great vision of The Hive, despite dwindling numbers with Community astro turfs, gym facilities and medical imaging for the community also.
Barnet FC have considerable less fans that they did when AK took over, but the do have a nice new "boutique" stadium and surrounding facilities in which to generate enough funds to maintain the MID TABLE CONFERENCE status. Good for them, but I hardly define that as success.

Too right they can. The end of the season in 2010 saw us with a fully operational academy and youth production line, community coaches around the region, 40,000 local school kids being instructed in the game and 3,400 average fans in attendance with close to 1,000 season ticket holders and playing in a purpose built rugby stadium.....fast forward 37 months and you've got no youth, no community, 200 season ticket holders, playing in a ground that has a pitch that is too small for RL in front of the 2nd lowest gate EVER for a London SL game.....OUTSTANDING WORK

Can't wait for London Broncos fortunes to change for the better now we are here.
London Broncos, if they go down this year, will not return to Super League for at least 20 years, if not longer, unless they are invited to do so when the RFL change their minds...again.
To gain promotion will take a minimum of 1,000,000 a year investment with little expectation of seeing that cash back, unless you can attract 50,000 fans to the hive paying a score each......2008 was the last time we broke 50k for a season...last year was 28k and Saturdays attendance was 40% down on 2013.
Filling the Hive is the only way to build the club.......let me know how well AK is doing that for Barnet FC?
Community access to Astroturfs and gyms is hardly boutique. It enables locals to come and use the Hive and they may get interested in the sports that are offered at that place also.
Of course the youth programme was amazing. Some of the products from there were immense. Though from the verge of having no club at all, that was the hard sacrifice of all - to lose the Youth and all collateral is painful. But we are here and still have a chance of rebuilding. I will love to have that chance again, which have by surviving as a club.
Exactly re:no guarantee that one has the right of promotion from Championship. But hold on, we are not even there yet. Everyone thought we would finish bottom last season, and yet again on the last day of the season the boys pulled something out of the bag. Sport is not a proven science in terms of stats. Anything can happen, especially this year with a more intimate Stadium and this players more confident by the backing from the supporters,
TK has had difficulties because this is their first year at The Hive also. But boy has he done well to get International level teams to train there and get major sponsorship from a branch of Toshiba also.
Things are looking bright at this current location and to build roots here with a new academy is something to look forward to. Cannot wait!

How's that panned out to date for the national code of association football to date?

The club are heading to the championship, from which, promotion will be impossible given the need to win a minimum of 2 games against sides with a salary cap twice the size and at least 5 more foreigners on the park.....

...no, we have 25 more chances to stay up.....I reckon we'll be confirmed as relegated by the end of march by the way.......we will have lost to Wakefield and Bradford once each, as well as Castleford and Widnes...games we need to win but will not.

We won less points than Salford last year.....clinging to that "false" placing smacks of insanity and insecurity. Bradford and Wakefield will both finish above us this year....and that's with Bradford getting 6 points docked. No doubt you'll be stiff for a few weeks whilst we are ahead of them on points

I personally don't have a problem with AK. He's been given the sweetest deal and had extra sweetness added by the RFL....good luck to him, but he has gone on record as saying he will not invest. He is a business man. London Broncos need another David Hughes....but this time, someone with a loving plan...not just spending to the cap, buying players HE THE OWNER LIKES..and doing as he sees fit, regardless of the consequences.

2nd Llowest gate in our SL history, lowest gate for a seasons opener, lowest gate for a first game at a new venue, Joint highest points scored against us by Salford in 18 SL visits to the capital, foot of the table with -80 in the points difference stats.....YEAH, they're that bright I need to wear shades

Who is going to fund this rebuild? Serious question....who is going to fund it? Not the fans.....if you think 1,246 is good, no doubt you'll applaud loudly if we crack 2k for Wigan this year, but in reality, I see a 1,500 or so average this year at best......David Hughes currently funds a team getting spanked to the tune of 2 million+ a year.....will this magical rebuild happen before or after the imaginary investors ride in on unicorns?
David Hughes has said he wobbled late last year. So loving what? If he'd employed the right people in the right jobs, he wouldn't have had to keep on writing cheques.....and guess what, all the good stuff that he managed to fund is now gone, whilst the loving mistakes continue to steal a wage.
Gf where has the royal we come from? You speaking for all of us, I only mention it because you have had a go at others for using it before. in reality the new system will actually favour the bottom 12 in the the new proposed syestem, have a think top 2 leagues of 12 bottom 4 top 4 into a play off league, bottom 12 top 4 are used to winning, top 12 bottom 4 are used to losing, actually it means that middle 8 league will orob be pretty tight. Btw you will spot I have not used the hidden cursing, there is no need to use "loving" swearing is swearing however you disguise it

Michael, I use "we" as in those of us that support the team and that want a club that is strong and growing. Do you not fall into that category? What I don't do is say "we the fans" as some half arsed attempt to suggest that you have to attend a match an applaud the players regardless of the result, or be amazed at how the club can deliver coffee for just 1.80 a cup to be a member of this "we". This "we" can remember hardships and bad times from the previous versions of the club, but I doubt many of "us" can remember being witnesses to the total desolation and destruction of the club by just one bad administrator in such a short space of time!

the top 4 on the championship will not deliver a "promoted" team unless they have an unlimited source of capital to be competitive once the 8/8/8 happens. Even then, it would take a monumental effort.....
We were the worst team in SL last year......Salford won more points than us.....and we easily beat the teams who finished 1 and 2 last year in the championship.

I don't care a love for what you think of my language or the use of expletives. I get so loving angry when I see the clusterfuck that this club has become. Why don't you join with the MASSES who have asked Wire Yed to ban me.....he obviously feels important enough about himself to say he's been inundated....although in reality, it was probably just Gus using multiple user names in a lame attempt to shut me up

Hi this is not a dig at what I believe is a genuine question from you. Women retire at 60 years old and it is gradually being steeped towards 66years of age over the next 5 years. Or at least I believe it is a five year span but I could be wrong on the timing element. They will gradually be in line with men on retirement. The female partners of Broncos fans who retire before 65 years have had their concessions removed and believe it or not it is enough to lose fans over as if the wife can't come along the husband also stops attending. Now after 2 years as a concession I have to pay in full from my pension for a period of three years. Due to costs I cant afford to do it and therefore after 20 years I have to give up being a supporter. I agree the club needs to make money but they are discounting family tickets where probably one or two wage earners exist, they are letting kids in for a pound. DOnt get me wrong I think this is admirable and needs to be done to get people back through the gates. I do not have a problem with cutting conecssions for men under 65 as they are still in a wage earning category but the only people who seem to be singled out to lose their concession are the female pensioners and I find this totally wrong.
The Stags and the Skolars will charge you £6 on the gate. The standard certainly isnt Super League but you'll see close games rather than Broncos being shellacked every week, you'll see committed players giving their all rather than that awful shambles you've been used to over recent years. If the Broncos cant be arsed with your support take it somewhere where you'll be appreciated.

Genius...pure Genius
The FA are looking at long termism than instant gratification which has what has held Spain and Germany in good stead. The astroturf pitches at The Hive have enabled a move to Level 2 Academy for Barnet FC under the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP), which aint bad for a League 2 club with no fans aye. Who knows what could happen if we get a youth academy built up here aye.

HOW WILL WE HAVE A WINNING MENTALITY FOR THE FUTURE IF WE KEEP ON DWELLING ON THE MISTAKES OF THE PAST.
We are not relegated yet, and until it is mathematically proven by points, we still have a chance, thus, GET BEHIND YOUR TEAM.
25 chances to stay up, who cares about predictions, what loving chance have the lads got if WE don't even believe in them. In means a lot as players to hear our support. We CAN be the 14th man!
We still didn't finish bottom. That's a fact - no clinging/insanity/insecurity, just fact. No doubt you will be here rubbing it into everyones faces bringing morale down if we have a bad run of results, when it is your team!?
Dreaming is good. If not, we might as well tell the lads not to bother and just put up the white flag. The last 10 minutes on Saturday was great to see the lads continue fighting, when last season heads would have been down. There is a new fighting mentality in this team, and I like it, alot. Not knocking your realism, but sometimes, that extra mental push of positivity can push a team over into the right direction - the whole minid over matter theory and we can help that by getting to The Hive and getting behind the lads.
Who cares about gates. Huddersfield were League Leader Champions and STILL couldn't raise numbers - it's about the atmosphere that is generated by those little fans that are there, and it was great on Saturday. Anyhows, your mantra is - we are all doomed - look at what has happened before - then you expect crowds to rise - and then criticize about low numbers!??
The same question when Salford were in the up poop creek last year. If we show enough interest here at The Hive, investors may be interested. But we have to specualte to accumulate, especially after one of the best RLWC's to have ever happened - with regards to THAT semi final and skill set plus passion on show on that day, which saw a lot of Londoners attend that game - and come back fully impressed with the game.
1,200 is good considering we have just moved in and just got a team together in the shortest of time frames. Higher numbers would be great, and by the sounds of Barnet fans who went on Saturday, they could be popping along more as well. All sounding very encouraging, much to your chagrin, perhaps.
Guess what, business people make mistakes too, though they are savvy enough not to dwell in failures but to look forward. How would they be successfull as a buisiness person if after tough times they packed it in?
That is Genius, to keep your head, when all around you are losing theirs. Genius indeed.

Like Kleanthous he doesn't put his hand in his own pocket.
Since TK took over Barnet Fc it is estimated that he has spent £3-5mil of his own money to get us to a point were he no longer puts his hand in his pocket. Like I said before, he will invest but only if he can see a sustainable future.
As for some fans wanting TK out, they still do.
