Panda! Thanks fella you have generated one of the funniest posts on here in years, you were accused of being a troll for using someone’s previous posts to make a point by someone who fills half his own posts with cut and paste from others, ironic.

But on TWP, the fear for me is you follow the same path as Salford and the bloke who tried to buy them success, when he didn’t win anything he walked.
Again this is my opinion, yes TWP are a new direction and venture, so a development team, but the home and away arrangement this year was too much of an advantage. Don’t get me wrong, I have no problems with you getting some leeway to assist yr success, we had some, Catalans certainly did but it has to be balanced. But it was the decision the RFL made so we live with it.
The whinging about the 8s format from your lot made me smile though, not sure how it was going to cost so much more when you cover the cost of teams travelling to you, it’s the same amount of airline seats and hotel rooms.
If you make SL then it will be interesting to see how the crowds fair when you are not winning every game, and you are watching a game in blowing wind and snow, not the sunshine.
To make it worth all the event, there does have to be further expansion in N America though!

£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.

There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them. :BEAT:

1. You need to get out more
2. Still hurting from your "it's not a temporary stand" slip up?
3. I said his using an old post to start an argument makes him a Troll......it does.

Why would I be hurting from repeating a press quote ? What I stated was 100% correct.

I have some pedigree if I am a toll then, with close to 25,000 posts across these boards, although to be frank, having an opinion that differs from the mainstream doesn't make me a troll, just about 95% accurate in my predictions as to the fate of the club and the game in general.
What you said in that thread was that "it isn't a temporary stand". As such, your statement is 100% inaccurate as no planning consents have been lodged for a new structure other than a creche beside the pavilion, nowhere near the main pitch....so if they want to build it this year as reported, it will have to be a temporary stand or invisible!
Happy to discuss Toronto. They owe suppliers cash, have had the advantage of playing all their home and away games in blocks as well as the fiscal help in not having to fly Toulouse anywhere other than Newcastle, whinged when they weren't given the 8's schedule they wanted, have been handing out free tickets like confetti at craft beer bars and as such the majority of their overstated crowds aren't there for the rugby, didn't sell out the 3,200 ground (or couldn't even fill it with free tickets) earlier in the season, have been flying away sides back into Glasgow because the planes to Manchester were pulled due to low take up on AirTRANSAT flights, haven't delivered a paying TV deal, haven't delivered a larger corporate sponsorship footprint and as for Perez???? Where's he gone? Bradford it would seem......
...so as I say, once Toronto take their place at the top table and the associated £1,800,000 in central funding, we will all be able to sit in awe and gaze at what the emperor is wearing. As soon as Argyle sees that he will be flushing £2,000,000 a year down the drain he will walk ad they will disappear as fast as you can say "what happened to Hamilton, Boston, Florida and NYC"......

3 things dog, 1 interesting you changed the wording from what I posted, 2 it was not what I said it was was the guardian said. 3 therefore 100% correct

Rest of it was you ranting so gave up, but think we get it, you don’t like TWP

You know, CMG, I was going to ignore you accusing me of trolling because I have better things to do than get into loops of doom online. But then you trot out a fresh set of lies and fibs and half-baked rumours stretching back two seasons about Wolfpack. As I said in another post, people have every right to dislike Wolfpack but they should make their case with facts, not with wishful thinking and confirmation bias that they heard from someone's friend's cousin who got on a bus and sat next to an assistant coach from Leigh.

Call Me God wrote:
They owe suppliers cash

Persistent story from last season, originated on the Total RF Fan Forum. Can you name the supplier? Was there perhaps a problem with the quality of goods supplied? Is the situation resolved? Do you have inside knowledge of this or are you just regurgitating something juicy from another poster, thread or forum? Wolfpack continue to produce and sell merch, so there doesn't seem to be any shortage of people who'll work with them. Word travels fast in this industry.

Call Me God wrote:
have had the advantage of playing all their home and away games in blocks

They played home and away blocks this season while Lamport Stadium pitch was being replaced. I think this has only been said 95,000 times. Wigan got a similar arrangement of blocks for a similar reason.

Call Me God wrote:
as well as the fiscal help in not having to fly Toulouse anywhere other than Newcastle

So they flew them to Newcastle, which is where the match was. If anyone got fiscal help, it was Toulouse.

Call Me God wrote:
whinged when they weren't given the 8's schedule they wanted

Not without reason. Wolfpack were scheduled a block of two home games but with the Challenge Cup weekend in the middle. Having them play either the August 18 game or the Sept 1 game in England would have given players time with their families; instead it has incurred extra cost for the team in paying for extra accommodation in Toronto. RFL could have been kinder without giving Wolfpack any favouritism in terms of blocks of games. I bet Wolfpack wasn't the only team in the Qualifiers that had special scheduling requests.

Call Me God wrote:
have been handing out free tickets like confetti at craft beer bars

Let me help you embellish this one. We actually hire a Cessna 172 out of Billy Bishop Airport and have it rain free tickets like confetti over the entire downtown area. In fact, no one pays to enter Lamport Stadium. In fact, we all get given a crisp new $20 bill and a beer token just for showing up. In fact, chartered prison vans show up at all the craft beer bars in Toronto and round up customers in leg irons, force them into the stadium. Then we lock the gates. /sarcasm. (There aren't any gates.)

Source please? Name of bars? An easily-made-up rumour that just as easily balloons. If Wolfpack give away two free tickets, that doesn't mean they give away two thousand. At a panel discussion on Wednesday, Wolfpack said they give away "fewer tickets than people like to think" and when they do, they target a different audience for each game. For example, a recent game included a tribute to our first responders - police, fire, paramedics. Free tickets went to those first responders who attended. IT'S CALLED MARKETING.

"We have never given away any free tickets," said no RFL team ever.

Call Me God wrote:
the majority of their overstated crowds aren't there for the rugby

How does this even matter? A first-timer who doesn't know the game isn't going to be on the sidelines checking on the 40/20. The trick is to get that first-timer to have such a good experience that they come back. And bring more friends. And buy seasons tickets. A dollar spent on a ticket or a beer is a dollar spent, whether the person is "there for the rugby" or there to meet a pal for a fun afternoon. Holy heck, do you have to pass a rugby league knowledge test to get through the turnstiles on the M62?

Call Me God wrote:
didn't sell out the 3,200 ground (or couldn't even fill it with free tickets) earlier in the season

The ground was 91% full. Was yours? And it was still the highest Championship gate that weekend. Many were season ticket holders, others paid for tickets, and Swinton brought a couple of hundred lovely fans. It was a fantastic day out, too bad you couldn't be there.

Call Me God wrote:
have been flying away sides back into Glasgow because the planes to Manchester were pulled due to low take up on AirTRANSAT flights

Do you really have this degree of insight into Air Transat's flight operations? Or is this another wild speculation?

Manchester service was not "pulled due to low take up" - Transat has never flown into all their UK destinations daily, except maybe Gatwick. That they have the demand to fly Toronto-Manchester five times a week in summer is pretty good. Air Transat serves Canadian holidaymakers: in winter they reduce flights to Europe and focus on flying to the Caribbean. In winter, they will drop down to two or three flights to Manchester per week, as I'm sure your contacts in Air Transat management will confirm.

And how is flying into Glasgow so horrific? Manchester to Yorkshire is a two-hour coach trip. Glasgow to Yorkshire is only a couple of hours longer.

Call Me God wrote:

Team is two seasons old and has already increased TV exposure in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA. Currently in talks with Sportsnet and TSN.

Don't know the story, but Wolfpack seems to be thriving without him.

Call Me God wrote:

No, you aren't "discussing" Toronto, you are "negatively misrepresenting" Toronto. I don't mind your opinion. I do mind you spreading misinformation and rumour and dressing it up as fact, with the intention of creating negative perceptions in people who want to know more about the Wolfpack.

This is a Broncos thread. I'm out.

I've eaten bigger under bridge dwellers than you for Breakfast pal......you are a troll and a pretty average one at that!

Same supplier of Kit that the Broncos had last year.......Wolfpack do continue to sell merch, just not Kappa Merch

Wigan playing at home a few in a row is not the same as getting off a plane and hitting a full time side inside 24 hours.......are you Trumps PR guy?

Nope. Toulouse could quite righly have asked for the nearest trans-atlantic flight to Toronto.........at a cost of considerably more than the contra with air transat.....

Our ball, our game, our rules.....if Argyle is as wealthy as they say, then feck off and by the Newcastle nights

Blood Brothers, Granite, leftfield and Halo are all bars that offer free tickets in return for multiple purchases and visits on quiet nights......and it's only MARKETING if they come back next week and pay!

Not saying that...never have, never would, but the confetti approach delivers little

Genuine question......for a club that bought facebook likes to seem popular, that lies about attendances and says that they are the best ever....even bigger than Donald......where are the fiscal releases? The biggest RL sponsorship deal in the NH is a lie.....it's a contra deal....but where are the Season Ticket sales numbers....surely they have nothing to hide being bigger than Donald?

I can research (and have) cancelled and re-cheduled flights.......North America Airlines juggle passengers regularly....nothing new but they are the marquee sponsor treating their obligations like a chore....
