No other superleague club plays in such a massive city, nor has a core of supporters that come such distances to watch the team play.
Still though would seem sensible to play at 6 pm giving the oppertunity at least for those busy at 3 to make the game.
No other club has to battle with other things to spend you money on in a city the size of London but on the flip side no other club has such an unblievable catchment area. It stretches for miles and miles and miles around London. In fact anywhere south and anywhere within 90 miles north could say Quins is their closest club. Wow, what an opportunity !!
I would argue
Leeds Rhinos don't play on the same day as Leeds United
Wigan Warriors don't play on the same day as Wigan Athletic
Bradford Bulls don't play on the same day as Bradford City
St Helens don't play on the same day as Liverpool or Everton
Salford don't play on the same day as Man Utd or Man City
Quins RL however play on the same day as 13 football clubs in the same city
Who do you reckon has got it right ?
Saturday 6pm would NOT solve this issue.
I understand totally your point about the travelling home fans but I suspect that decisions on when we play may just have to be taken in thew consideration of new Quins fans, not the ones who come as visiting fans, not those who prefer Saturdays so they can get vexed but NEW fans
Without NEW fans the club will I suspect be dead and buried by the end of this franchise
I bit of out of the box thinking is needed here
