And if Bent'un had had the courage to deal with it on the pitch also by giving them 10 minutes it could have made a difference. We went to Hull - never again! - awful atmosphere in the very full ground and not a friendly face to be seen. We were devoid of ideas but Purdo, Louis, Melling and Dorn all earned their corn. Dorn kicked well to get us out of trouble a few times but the forwards just weren't! And why did B Mac spend all the game standing on the touchline? The dugout is not that far from the pitch. He looked the picture of misery. Billy Peden and the others were having to run round him each time they needed to get on the pitch. Maybe they were too busy thinking what they were going to do with all the time off they've got now til training before the Cas game.
As I said on another thread there were 18 of us in the corner of the North Stand. In fact I think the only 18 who paid to get in out of the 4,000 or so people in the stand, who got in courtesy of free vouchers in the local press. Certainly it wasn't a great experience and obviously we didn't have a great deal to shout about.
