Well mate then what do you suggests? 2 years ago they found the hive, unofficially for the 10th time they announced that this would be there new spiritual home ground. Now we are on the move again (with no fans). Obviously it hasn't been working since 1980 (we need our own ground, period)
So my idea (next argument will but where will we get the money from?)
- Go joint with a club like London Skolars build a 4000 seater stand and lay some concrete for standing only at either end of the post officially fit 2,000 at either end and there's your 8,000 stadium.
- Rent the stadium out during the winter months either to rugby or football for further income, have all the junior London grand finals played there every year.
- Have the closet pub to the ground be treated like a Leagues Club (like they have in Sydney, so before and after the game rusted on fans, first timers or curious on lookers can meet and greet and build a fan base)
- Build up a rivalry between Broncos and Skolars, once a year a charity match.
- Use the ground as mini HQ or training ground for when the Kiwis or the Kangaroos come to play.
- Get the RFL to help found the new stadium (I know...... never going to happen)
- Name the stadium Rugby League Park
The stadium would be used every week either by the Broncos and the Skolars. Also could become the officially spiritual home ground of Rugby League in London. Despite the lack of fans for Broncos or Skolars if you build it they will come. But if the club travels around like Gypsy's who's bothered to show up.
Its been mentioned many times before that Rugby League needs a corporate foot hold in London, and I think this is the only way to do it.
Well that's my rant, expecting the massive backlash.
