Its a well trodden and risky path, signing up run of the mill Australians, who are already carrying "chronic" injuries, so cannot begin the NRL season. We took it one step further by attempting to sign the bloke who had already retired, but its an uphill battle trying to recruit so late in the day, so calculated risks on players fitness are being taken...
The production line which was Welsh Rugby Union for classy half backs and forwards needs re-opening! The talent is still there as is the raw untapped talent on the streets of London and the South. Hopefully, Longy can use his Wigan, Saints & Salford links to open a few doors.
The challenge though is not simply to avoid relegation this year, but to develop a Club both on and off the field that can be eventually sustainable at this level in future years.
