So what are you saying? The Broncos wont be playing at the Hive in 2015 or the Hive dont want us to play there but we will be playing there?
Is English not your first language?
Not sure if the speed at which I type is a problem for you, but here we go AGAIN:
.....the ....hive..... aren't..... interested...... in..... the..... year...... 2.... option... in.... regards.... to....... the...... broncos..... in..... 2015......
Now, this can mean any number of things, one of which is the club having to move again. It also means that we may stay and pay rent, although if the £250k or so in ticket revenue as well as the residual income from bars etc and not forgetting the RFL "stipend" of a Marketing Budget for him to spend..... that our Partner/landlord/potential owner (select what makes you feel warm and fuzzy) has reaped this year isn't enough for him, it does mean we could end up paying more for the Hive than the Stoop was costing us. (£222,244 was the match day costs entered on the 2012 P&L accounts compiled by the supreme African Ball Dropper.....a document sent to me by my imaginary friend BTW)
What happens depends on Hughes and his preparedness to support the club next year and into the future. We get £900,000 or so next year from SKY and the rumoured cap for SL2/The Championship is £1,200,000 so I suspect to "COMPETE" with the top tier of that group, we need to turn over in excess of £2,500,000......I can tell you now that without Hughes propping us up, we have NEVER come within £400,000 of that number...and that was with a damn sight more fans and associated income.
At £20 a ticket (and let's face it, this is championship RL we are talking about.....will we get that much?) and based on 11 home games and then (if we make the middle
4 more home ties, that would require an average attendance of 5,333 after you take the £900,000 parachute payment away from the £2,500,000.
Now, call me a pessimist and no disrespect to the good folk from Fax, Fev and Leigh, but not a snowballs.......not even close. The REALITY is that we will be lucky to get 10% of that required average.....we currently get 21% of it. No sponsors (nor investors) will be interested in a lower tier club, so the shortfall will need to come from an Owner........as the trap door is effectively shutting on us in respect of P&R it will only be down to how guilty Hughes feels for the mess he has created. I believe I have already covered my thoughts on this mess in previous threads
.
So, as I said in the first post.....the Hive aren't into the 2nd year option as hastily arranged by Blake Solly at the 11th hour.
They say you reap what you sew and this looks like being a bumper harvest
