Now who thinks us old moaning posters on this forum did not know what were on about, every thing what has been posted has become true. The debate was allways when we would win our first game, the debate will now be changed to when will we score our next point.

I think Orange called our first win as Dewsbury at home in May. I thought that overly pessimistic. I was wrong. Is suspect he might be wrong as well sadly.

On the plus side, they kept us up to date with the substitutions on Twitter

On the plus side mark 2 the game announcer was audible. Now if someone can tell him to read through the team more than once we might be onto a winner.
On the plus side mark 3 we have a team sheet now if we can just do what everybody else does and have the 17 man team rather than 20 random names I. A document marked “21 man squads” we would be onto a winner.
On the plus side mark 4 we do appear to have personal sponsors for many players now if we can just put on the wesbite like any team and add in any corporate sponsors....
On the plus side mark 5 - Latu made his debut and was better than last year - a spectacularly low bar but he did Ok.Now if we can just remember to include him in the team sheet next time he plays.
On the plus side 6 the 3 additional Skolars players aren’t on the website. Unfortunately they played as well as L1 can be expected to.

Always trying to look for a positive in a game, am struggling with this one. Despite lots of folk not rating him I thought horsman looked enthusiastic today, more than the rest. Juma didn't get made to look so daft on his wing, think that's about it.
Haven were better team all game, our last play options were dire.
Not pleasant to watch

Yet this is the squad DH and his cronies have assembled to relaunch the club and attract new fans. Most of us saw this coming why didn't they ?

Or was he over optimistic!

I mean Dewsbury beat Sheffield today who beat Bradford. Unless the expectation is to beat Bradford in the Challenge Cup.

I'll ignore Dewsbury's big defeat Bradford in that logic.

I’m not experienced enough in the fine detail of the game to understand what Thomas was doing. Can anyone enlighten me. He seemed to me to be kicking the ball 10 metres and inviting Haven to attach us fro just inside their half.

Sheffield are a funny side. They seem to be really good but when the inevitable injuries. Happen they have no back ups and slide down the league. If Dewsbury end up above us we will be in trouble.

On the radio commentary they thought Thomas had an awful game.

I see on twitter they put the coach up to explain the defeat in pretty quick time so some credit yo him. It really needs to be Lobster or Hughes to explain the shambles that is their making.

Yes just seen the video. A decent thing to do.
I wouldn’t expect any kind of insights into why we’ve done what we’ve done but it would be really interesting to understand why the management allowed, basically, everyone to leave and replaced them with L1 players and thought it would work. The team on the pitch and our off pitch efforts all reek of a team with no money yet we have a multi millionaire backer who has stumped up for an expensive pitch/ training ground scenario and a reserves and women and academy set up. It really is mystifying. If the Cup match is a spanking ( what’s the chances of that!) and York is another wash out that feels like the PL experiment done. Getting in a few people on a free ticket is good to an extent but longer term buy in will be difficult if the team loses heavily, plays badly and never scores and who would want to buy a SL to see this?
Its mid February we are the lowest scorers in the league and 13th - not forseeable?

That was my uninformed opinion. But was he the worst out there? He is a L1 player who was last seen in aL1 team getting spanked every week. In a sense he’s been put in an invidious position.
Put it another way. Who was good?. Tuilagi seemed to try to get forward. Latu wasn’t as bad as last year- he seemed Ok. Parata and Curran were Ok.
