As I said. The way you post and the repetitive content, some of which has contained abuse, has had myself and maybe others losing compassion for your arguments or indeed the motivation to support what you say. All this despite our despair for the club. You used to make sense, we used to listen, sit back and realise. But lately it's become some sort of mission above all others for you. If Gus gets the old tin tack, we all hope his replacement can turn things around. But it won't be on the back of your tirades. Still, at least we won't have to hear how you're not answering his calls again. And I fear for the next CEO.
i think this is all very sad. Gus may or may not be the worst CEO ever for Quins/Broncos - or the whole of sport. Surely the real point is we as a team have been rubbish for the past 4 seasons or so. We barely win a home game and on top of that we havent got a history to rely on? I became a season ticket holder at Hull in 1964 - was 10/11. We won, i think 2x at home. We were hopeless.
but we still got 2000/4000 because people remembered the glory days of the 1950's grandads took sons who took their kids. There was a tradition. i started taking my son to Broncos in 1999 (cup year). He doesnt live in Engalnd anymore - but is still passionate about them and about RL in general. But we havent got many of them.
i am as depressed and fed up as anyone about where the club is going i dont understand David Hughes' but without him we would have been buried a long time ago. I dont understand Gus - but he hasnt had much to work with. i dont understand Tony Rea - why do we seem so badly set up at times? i know nothing of marketing/adveritising etc so cannot comment though i previously have supported Gutterfax's ideas. if i won the Euromillions i would put money in. if we had 10,000 crowds and could do a Portsmouth (were i currently live) i would chip in my couple of thousand - but we dont
what i do know is when we win, and i see us win or even when we play really well and lose - it makes my weekend better. i feel happier and go to work on Monday feeling better about the world.
i will be at feathersone, i will be at every home game i can and (stupidly, unless its Gillingham) will renew my season ticket next year if we survive. Becuase i am a SUPPORTER, and thats what supporters do. I pray it gets better, i fear it wont, but until we finally die i will support.
then its Catalan and Lanquedoc and lots of red wine........................................
There's a guy (from Leigh I think) who's posted on here from time to time under the a moniker something like "cj hates union". I pointed out to him that defining his whole being on here through a negative was pretty silly and hardly likely to have people, unless already like-minded, paying much attention. He ignored me of course.
gutterfax has now got himself into the same mode, epitomised by his childish avatar, and he'll stay on my ignore list until he starts writing stuff with an element of balance to it as he once did. (Although I try to ignore him, I do have to read some of his diatribes when quoted by others.)
Well done to those who take the trouble to reply to his rants in detail. I just can't be bothered.
EDIT: I come on here to discuss rugby league, not gutterfax. So the above is my final comment about him.

The most sense I have read on this forum in some time

was watching an nfl doco. on one of their teams and they used the term bomb to describe those long high passes from quaterback to running back and i think gibson took that idea, realized you cant throw the ball forward in RL and adapted it to a "bomb" kick we have

Well said Brian 2......your sentiments echo those of many London Broncos fans. I have often mused on the potential lottery win and ensuing divorce case once I announced we would be heading back to London to take ownership of the Broncos I must admit to being in a much better mood when we have managed to get something out of a game and am also puzzled how TR is managing to have trouble getting results out of the team that he seemed to have turned around at the end of 2012.
With regard to the CC game this weekend, it would be nice to see some marketing activity, but in truth, as we are moving at the end of the season, there is very little point in spending cash where it's not needed. Let's hope the guys raise their game and dispatch the Championship side and then get another draw against "beatable" opposition for the next round....a cup run might just be the thing to turn the fortunes of the team around.
i too face an expensive divorce, but a £120million lottery win would sort. first step ground - either buy in to the Brentford project or look for alternative (Trust Fund). Then coach team - i love Tony Rea. but this season worries me - Brian Noble going to Salford takes out one option - Rea as manager and a good Aussie coach?
Team - not re-sign anyone (other than Dorn who i have a soft spot for). We need some big ugly forwards who will put in the hard work, we are constantly outmusculed by teams. this year its not fitness - we are knackered by second half. other than that what the hell do i know............................
