For heavens sake Jaybs stop talking the situation up as though it were some sort of mega business deal.......selling the club would suggest we have assets, but for the life of me I cannot think what they could be or that it would amount to much. If I remember correctly at the last fans forum I attended, DH said that he had offered the club to Harlequins for £1.00, but they were not interested, so that sort of provides a context. As for debts, DH has always picked up the tab for our funding and operational costs and again he has said more than once that although we are short on resources, due to his generosity we remain debt free. All we have is a holding statement saying that negotiations continue in relation to a new playing venue and possible investor, that's it, nothing more.

It is a business deal, and any newcomer needs to know what they are taking on, "due diligence" to what costs have been in the past, and looking to cut out cloth right. If it was simple as you want to make it out then why don't you take over the club? :)

It be now down to the RFL situation, but they may have instructed the club to say nothing until after the RFL AGM. I can't see the point of keep issuing updates if little can be said.

To take over the club you need to have money to run it, I don`t so that counts me out.

`Due Diligence`......hey we are non Man United......I would have thought (and I am being generous here) that any accountant and solicitor worth their salt could have accomplished that within a week. Remind me of how long this sage has been going on for.

I see you could not resist another little bit of guesswork i.e. the RFL `may` have instructed the club etc`........

I give up.

There needs to be open honest dialogue between the club and the fan base

Why? Im not a shareholder nor are you.

Do Tescos engage with the community when raising the price of beans.

The only thing you can do is buy tickets or dont buy them. You are just a paying fan like the rest of us. Know your place.

There is categorically no excuse for not communicating with the fans in any way for this length of time.

Well I don't! and I know that the Club were not impressed at all with a statement made by The RFL about the club, without any discussion with them at all, that is how the RFL seems to run the game today, I always thought the staff of the RFL served the member clubs who own the game, not these days, and Yes I do get angry about it.

have to agree with wire quin! The club do not have any obligation to tell us anything, we either turn up on game day and buy tickets or we don't simple as that.
How the club is run is up to the club, we are the fans of the blokes on the pitch we actually have no say in the running of the club

No obligation but they certainly have an interest in keeping fans informed. Tescos have customers, sports clubs have fans. It is best to treat fans well lest they become mere customers.

not disagreeing with that either, it might be sensible to keep the fans in the loop as to what is happening especially with the situation we are in with not knowing where we might be playing.
But the fact still remains, the club have no obligation to tell us what they are doing, the product that they provide on the pitch is what its all about, how they do it is up to them, not us

Twice in the past month my local Tesco Metro has had a woman with a clipboard stationed near the exit doors, polling customer opinions. Tesco know their place and a pretty successful, though unlikeable, one it is too. They also know quite a lot about their customers.
