If we are indeed towards the upper limit of the salary cap then i would seriously question the value of the players he has signed/retained subject to the fact that he cannot change the personnel under less than 3 years due to being locked into contracts.
Effectively we are saying we are paying the same salaries as Saints, Leeds, Wigan etc. and have a much poorer quality of team.
