Not a problem for me, clearly just for you.

In February I said we'd finish bottom and be relegated whilst not winning a game and conceding more points in a season than our highest announced home attendance. I was told then I was mad.....maybe I am, but I was spot on!
More so, I have banged on about the perils of ignoring the business side of running a club. I warned that the reliance on Hughes cash was a disaster waiting to happen, but was told my statistics meant little. I was apoplectic with the idiocy of Blanchard and MacKay but was shouted down for making it personal. The fact of the matter is I was right and I am still right, but some people prefer to live in a bubble of faux positivity. Another hammering today........losing is part of the club now and regardless of next years lower tier opposition, getting that out of the psyche could be too hard.

Agreed.

I bought a membership knowing that we wouldn't win a game this season, and will continue to do so. Mr Grima seems to be getting rid of all the players tainted by the losing mentality. That's his call and I believe he is right. If he fails it is curtains for the Broncos, then again he may not and he will get us up or a least winning some games.

I will continue to support RL in the south regardless of the success of the Broncos as they are not the be all and end all of the sport around London.

So you couldn't find any examples of this to quote then?

Plenty, I just couldn't be bothered to spend time cutting and pasting them, and in the process bore everyone else. If they've been following this thread they'll have read your remarks.

What I am trying to get into that jelly head of yours is you constantly have a go at other posters.

Good post micky, unfortunately you're trying to engage someone in conversation who has a megaphone and noise-cancelling headphones. He shouts everything and hears nothing.

I have to agree, this is such an overdone story with no supporting evidence and for those who want to see Broncos play, largely irrelevant.
Representatives of the club have said they are staying at the hive, they have contracted players for next two seasons and appear to be looking forwards. They certainly don't give the impression of a club preparing to wind down in 12 months time.

I think most fans don't care how much it costs Hughes and I certainly get the impression that this isn't the first and probably wont be the last time that the demise of the Broncos will be foretold by soothsayers trying to tell the future in the numbers of the past.

Barnet FC have been through this, financial backer withdrew, all players lost, in a league well out of our depth ending up with a record low points. We are now in a a far better and sustainable place, all be it at a lower level. So ignore Gutterfaxs financial hypotheses of doom and support what the club are doing for next season.

Another well argued post Meliferra, you really must stop that it doesn't fit in at all.

You're right though, in the end while we know some of the financial details our opportunities to change or influence them are minimal. We can only turn up and continue supporting the team.
And as you point out, when Barnet's financial backer disappeared into the sunset it was the fans that remained.

"Look everybody I was right".
Sat there thousands of miles away criticising fans who still go to cheer on the team, willing the demise of this club just so you can say "I told you so" and do the most Pyrrhic victory dance ever.
All you ever talk about is the past and great you were then, while shouting down anyone that wants to discuss the future.

I think Joe Grima is in a tough position regarding getting rid of players, he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. But if we let players go now we might get some money to buy out the remainder of their contracts whereas at the end of the season we won't get a brass farthing.

We all know that the reliance on David Hughes money can't go on forever and that we all want the club to have a more sustainable financial model. Regrettably for a club our size, sustainable finances will inevitably mean the release of players while it's possible to sell out the remainder of their contract.

Yeah but we will all read the quickie posts and most likely have a wry smile, unlike the whole page of waffle that's spouted by some posters where you lose interest and skim over most of it

I'll deal with bits of your wild an inaccurate accusations bit by bit as there are so many if them. First up;
Perry wrote:

I have never stopped anyone from discussing the future of the club, such as it may be. I have on the other hand questioned the possibility of actually having a future whilst a) Hughes is still in charge and b) the financial arrangements regarding the ground are not finalised for more than the next 6 weeks.
Furthermore, all I have seen from the new coach is a willingness to speak to the clubs press officer, talk of changing a culture and a continued average of 44 point hammerings. The only thing that points to us not being as bad next year is he drop in the quality of the opposition.
So, the first urban myth you posted that is lapped up by the populist audience is exposed. For the record, it is impossible to plan for the future if at first you do not learn from the mistakes of the past so discussing what has gone on before is a key part of trying to fathom what's ahead of us!
