Luke Dorn : Tue Feb 03, 2009 10:09 pm
Sky Sports 2008 Review tonight was interesting when watching Cas play. Dorn obviously is still one of the best support players in SL but he can also put some good short grubber kicks into the ingoal area as well. Something we were poor at last season. Makes me feel much more confident about our attacking options if he can keep it up. Maybe the loss of Hill will not be felt so badly after all.

I think Dorn will be a more complete player than we remember given his experience of the last couple of years.

Hate to disagree, but for the first 22 minutes v Fax he was a bit "flat". If he is flat against SL teams, we are bu99ered.
I would love to be proved wrong, though not "listied" .
I think this is Orrs season to shine at Quins.

I'm sure once the dry pitches  turn up he will come into his own. What I dont think we should be doing is comparing him like for like against Hill. Different beasts all together.

After watching the ST's/Leeds super league review . I have to say i think that Dorn got more to his game then use to have and does back up the ball carrier very well.

As for compering him to Hill all the time, well yes i was a fan of his but felt last year after his two bad neck injuries he seem to be just playing at 65/70% if that. So lets get over him and move on its a new season with a lot to look forward i hope.

The thing is will we see the best of Orr this year, again i think yes maybe we will, because without Hill there he will pull the strings more. I always felt with Hill,Paul and Orr on the pitch in the final 10/20 there was to many chiefs and not enough indians, they all want to take charge so the rest of the squad just didnt know what to do,who was going to call the play. That and somethings it looked like Hill's pass was to flat and fast for Orr to read or hold on to

So this season i hope to see just Orr and Purds having their say and the rest doing their job. :)

P.S. think you right about grubber kicks Snoopy, we didnt see enough of them last year at Quins

Im sorry, but Scott Hill did not deliver his full potential whilst wearing the four quarters.

It just did not happen.

On his day he was great. He asked so many questions of the defence. Sadly it didn't happen as often as we would have hoped.

This may be correct, but it is still better then what Dorn can deliver.
